Hello all...

Hello my Siesta(Beth Moore's word for Sisters-Love it)

I have decided to start this online bible Blog Study that Preacher's Wife wrote. It has already started my wheels turning in my mind and heart. The very first question:

Are there any circumstances or relationships in your life where you can see God has intentionally placed you?

Yes- many! A few grow heavy in my heart!

What do you perceive may be at stake if you do or do not speak out for Him?

The person's soul will be lost for eternity. They will not walk with me into the gates of heaven and I will spend the rest of my eternal life knowning I did nothing, said nothing and do not do what God intended me to do.

Can you Honestly describe yourself as a woman with a "yes" in her spirit?

No I can not say I can- I would like to fool myself and those around you to say I am but when it comes down to it.. I have failed!

If not what keeps you from this?
FEAR- fear that the person will see my words as judgement and not concern for their eternal well being. Fear that they will reject me, as they have rejected Christ. Fear that it will drive this person away from me, and my life. (my heart grieves over this)

Do you recognize any circumstances in your life which could be described as an "unrecurring event"?

Yes!!

Have you ever said "no" to one and watched God use someone else instead?

NO- I have not intentionally said NO- and I have yet to see God use someone else in this person's life to speak HIS Word, Way, and Love!

Are you in an emotionally and spiritually healthy place?

NO-

What do you feel is holding you in your Egypt?
Honestly I do not know! I wish I did know- I do hope it does not take me 40 years for me to come out of the wilderness.

  1. Angie,

Welcome study buddy! Thank you for your comment. This happened several years ago and is just something that I need to let go of. Rusty is the one that has forgiven it and moved on, me not so. The think is this is going to be the host church for the BM simulcast so God is moving me so that I can walk up hug his neck and say I love you. Like Joyce Meyer said in a teaching I have been taking posion hoping he would die. Know that sounds harsh, but because I have not let it go that is what has been happening.

I am so with you on this study. I know that if we will be honest with ourselves and each other, that God will use us to bring us out of the desert into the promised land.

There is a note in one of my Bibles about Moses going to Midian and the note states "He lived in disappointment for 40 years." I am like you I don't want to live there for forty years..I would me nearly ninety!!!

Again thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. I am going to be eating some crow here..do you have salt?

    In Him,
    Sallye

  3. Angie,

You are not alone here, and that's why God gives us fellow siesta's to lean on. Thank God there are those out there that have been here done this, and left us the wells of their knowledge and experience to drink from while we are going through the desert. Thank God that they are praying over us. Better to be in the desert with God than alone in Egypt.

    Your fellow sorjouner,
    Sallye

Whisperings

Some of you know I have lots of children. Seven to be exact, and most of them are older and Most of them are young men except for one boy.   Lately one of my youngmen have been struggling. He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "

Day two

still trying to get the routine established But I am so grateful I have this privilege to disciple these two and guide these two in their education. Thank you Lord Angie
