Do we have an excuse to judge?

Many times we find ourselves judging others for their actions, murmuring behind their backs, or even gossiping.

Do we have an excuse to judge?

Romans 2:1

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Romans states that we do not have an excuse to judge. Did you know that as you judge you condemn yourself? The Lord knows the heart of those whom we may be speaking of, WE DON’T. The Lord also knows the heart in which judgment comes.

Romans 2:2

But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

As we sit on that judgment seat  condemning our brethren we are faced with this dilemma:

do you think you will escape the judgment of God for judging a brother?

Why are you judging?

Is it because you see in them what you have done or are doing?

Romans 2:3-4

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Dear Saints- we spend so much time looking at others. Watching what they are doing or not doing but missing the mark ourselves. Let us look to ourselves, seeking Christ in repentance of our judgmental spirits and lifting each other in prayer as brothers and sisters in Christ. Love each other dear Saints- as Christ loves you!

May the Lord receive glory this day as you read His Word and Pray!

Whisperings

Some of you know I have lots of children. Seven to be exact, and most of them are older and Most of them are young men except for one boy.   Lately one of my youngmen have been struggling. He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "
