The attitude of the Accepted

Last night our pastor spoke on the attitude of the accepted.. at first I was not sure what it meant. But as he went on it all came together, so I will try to share with you his words, and what God spoke to me through this wonderful service! He started in 2 Samuel 9- READ this chapter it is great… My family and I had just recently read and reviewed this chapter. In this chapter David is seeking someone from the house of Jonathan. Someone he could bless and restore. He called for a servant from that house who informed him that there was one son left, who was crippled. As the crippled son approached the throne of David he did so with a humble and UNWORTHY heart.Though UNWORTHY as he might have felt, David restored to him all that was his father’s and granted the right to eat at his table for the rest of his life. How do we tie this in with us now and Christ…  as we approach the throne of God, we are truly unworthy of his grace and mercy, but it is through the blood of Christ

Out of the Mouth of Babes

One thing I have learned in having children at a young age, then having Noah at 36 years old is scripture must be taught as soon as you can. We have begun to sow in Noah- Here is a video of him doing Gen 1:1 Ephesians 6:1  and repeating after me John 1:1 From Out of the mouth of Babes     Busy hands- this weekend I decided I was going to sew.. I have finished three projects- Pajama pants for my Maria A dress for our new pastors daughter- Front  Back    This was like my second time to do zippers- ugh I need a class on that and only my second time using my serger.   Last thing I did was my daughter’s skirt she has been waiting for, for like 2 months… The material is so pretty and so very delicate.   Thus far this is how I spent my Saturday and part of my Sunday- What about you?   Angie

Seeking God’s Will

Often times we wonder how we can know for sure what God’s will is for our lives. I know many times myself I have “thought” I was under the will of God then everything goes in a totally different direction then I intended. Was it God’s will or my own will?   As I read this morning a prompting,  strong aching in my heart began so deep with in me… LORD I WANT YOUR WILL NOT MINE FOR MY LIFE!! So how do we know HIS will?   Well first, we must seek his face and CRY out to him. That word CRY has been so deep in my heart, what does it mean to Cry out to God? And why must we come to this state-crying out? Many times in scripture it states that he heard his people’s cry? The word cry appears 181 times in scripture; crying appears 31- so 212 times a form of cry of appears.   Exd 22:23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;   HE WILL surely hear their cry- why in this state, at this point does He hear? Because

Pray without Ceasing

Again- my devotional brought me to a place of pondering and considering a verse… 1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.   What does that mean to you? Does it mean that we are to NEVER stop uttering, requests, and situations up to the L-rd?   Beth Moore in my devotionals  states that pray without ceasing means to practice a pray without ceasing relationship seeing everything against the backdrop of His presence. Everything and anything makes us think of our L-rd Jesus. Having a constant communication with our L-rd, sometimes saying a lot or sometimes saying a little, but living every moment of life as if he is right there… (excerpt from When Godly people do Ungodly things)   He is there always watching, guiding, asking us to just talk to Him, and confide in Him.   Father- You are worthy to be praised! help us as we continue to seek your word and learn what it is you want for our lives. Help us to understand how to have a pray without ceasing relationship
