Does it really Matter?

I read this question "How do you maintain contentment with your station or calling in life?" from another blog (go check it out) and decided to blog about it myself.. It was one of those questions that make you go "hmmm".

I guess I will start with asking you the same question: How do you maintain contentment in your calling in life? Let me change the question- How do you maintain contentment in the position for life the Lord Jesus has placed you in?

I have spent many years of our (my beloved's and mine) 17 years of marriage working on and off. It was not till about 5-6 years ago did the Lord speak loud and clear to my beloved that working outside of the home for me, and maintaining the home, children and schooling was NOT possible. He came to this understanding that the Lord is our provider. Not that he did not know this, but it was just a nail that deepened in his heart that is not anything we do that puts food on our table or a roof over our heads. We are just tools, like a hammer by itself can not put a nail in the wall. We have to pick it up and swing, as God picks us up and swings us in the direction He wants us to go to provide, we are His tools to use. ( I do hope that makes sense-haha)

Anyway- contentment- how do we maintain it?

I think first things first- We must see what we do as important. We must realize we are not just raising children, or cleaning a house, or just cooking dinner. We are raising Warriors for Christ Kingdom, cleaning your beloved/ king's mansion, and preparing strength for those you love.

No job is too small when it comes to being a mother. Each job is different, we each do it differently, but NO JOB IS TOO SMALL. Everything you do is to equip them for their future for what the Lord has instored for them. What a great task and priviledge that is.

Second thing is seek not the things of this world. Your reward is not waiting here on this earth for what you are doing, and the seeds you are planting. Your reward awaits you in heaven, as you enter those gates and come face to face with the Creator of the World, what will He say to you?

" Well done good and faithful servant"?? or " turn from me I never knew you"?

So don't look at your neighbor, don't see what they have and you don't- because the truth is there is always going to be someone who has more than you, just like there is someone that does not have as much as you have.

So dear sweet sisters, remember NO JOB IS TOO SMALL, and know that your job is important, the most important to the Kingdom of Christ to raise a seed that will bring the Savior glory!

Ps- Be sure to check out these other blogs that asked themselves the same question: Rants n Rascals

This blog is a bit different because she does not speak on being a mother, but she sure hits home on being content- SOUL Survivor

Whisperings

Some of you know I have lots of children. Seven to be exact, and most of them are older and Most of them are young men except for one boy.   Lately one of my youngmen have been struggling. He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "

Day two
