Daily scripture and thoughts

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 ESV) Dear Ones Fear is not of God.  He desires for his children to know who they are in Him and know that He is with you always. He is the only source of true strength. When you fear and turn to someone else, they can only give you temporary strength. Their Words can bring you comfort but as soon as they walk away that fear welds up in you again. Only the Words of The Lord and His  strength leaves you feeling comforted and at ease. Lord you know my fears. Lord grant me your peace ever lasting. Guide me through your truth! Strengthen me as I walk forward in 2014. May your truth, peace and love be with me.  ALLOW 2014 to be glorifying to you! Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Daily Scripture and thoughts

but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 ESV) Dear Ones Waiting the hardest thing to do. Man is a create that wants and desires instant gratification. We are part of a society that instant gratification is encouraged and costly flaunted- the Word reminds us that waiting on The Lord renews our strength. We are able to wait, we are able to because the strength we receive is not ours, it is from Him. Waiting means sacrifice, waiting means allowing God to do within us whatever He desires to do to mold us and shape us. Waiting means that We are Not In Control!  Waiting- means God is God and you are not- we are all waiting in one way or another. The question is are you willing to wait? Are you willing to allow God to use you? Are you willing to be guided by Him and strengthened by Him? Lord be my strength and I seek you and wait upon you.  Solo para la G

Daily scripture and thoughts and more

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. (Romans 12:12, 13 ESV) Dear Ones Rejoicing in Hope- how do you do that when everything around you seems to be to hard to rejoice over but It is only in the HOPE that lies with in we can rejoice. Being patient in our tribulation or trial sometimes is hard  when that trial or tribulation seems to be overtaking your life but be in constant prayer. Prayer: I  fail in this department. I wish I can say I am always in prayer with my Lord. I wish I could say that I am faithful in this area but I would be lying. Truth be told- I desire so badly for this area of my life to change.  Lord give me strength  to overcome and be faithful in prayer to you. Contribute to the needs of the Saints and seek to show hospitality- contributing does not seem hard for the Body of Christ but Hospitality seems to be a struggle with in the Body. People do not want to show Hospitalit

The Enemy-

What happens in the heart of your child that you become their enemy? What happens to them that they actually believe that you , the person who brought them into this world, cared for them when they were sick, fed them and clothed them; is their enemy? I know the lies- I have heard them. I lived them for a long time. I had expectations of how my mom was to be and when she did not meet those expectations I had NOTHING NICE TO SAY. WOW- Thank you Lord that you can even reveal my own heart to myself. I have wondered if I am reaping what I have sown in my own life. I know that my son is planting seeds in the heart of his future wife against us, against me. I often ask myself how is she supposed to love us when he is dumping everything on her.  When he can't express himself for himself, he expresses it to her and in turn she is to bind our hearts to us and love us. HOW?  He has expectations that things are supposed to be the same for him, though he packed his bags, moved out and has ex

Daily scripture and Thoughts

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11 ESV) Merry Christmas Dear ones- if it wasn't for the celebration of the birth of Christ- how empty and vain would this Holiday be??? It would be about greed and selfishness and materialism.  Thank you Jesus for your birth- thank you for sacrifice  Thank you that we have more celebrate more to focus on! Your son Jesus Christ. Daily scripture and thoughts

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, (Titus 2:11-13 ESV) Dear Ones Do you wonder why you struggle with sin and ungodliness? Why you struggle with lack of self control? Because it is God through His salvation and His grace that trains us to turn away from these things? How?  First off through your surrender of your hearts and lives to Christ. Secondly through the presents of the Holy Spirit, thirdly through the power of His Word and lastly through the comfort of accoubtablity.  We can not resist temptation, remain pure or even refrain from our flesh with out all four these intact. Don't fool yourself thinking you can't have one of these and refrain from sin or turn from it. Those who know the Word and have been given a

Tragedy and loss..

Early Saturday morning my beloved received a phone call from our Pastor and His friend- He needed urgent prayer. He was rushing to the hospital his granddaughter only 5 months old, was not well. He said from the limited information he had that they were saying she had died. When he hung up the phone my beloved laid there for a few minutes not sure what to think. The Holy Spirit prompted him to go to David. He said something to me, and I said go. In the meantime I was trying to contact David's sister - whom I am friends with. I asked her how she was. She called me in tears, so I knew that I was needed as well. We hurried dressed, brushed our teeth, and headed to be there for our Dear Family in Christ. When we arrived David and His beloved wife were standing by the door and you could see the grief and pain all over their faces. Karen who is always a pillar of strength tried to be strong, and smile, but you could tell the pain. Her smile was one that showed that though she was smiling

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Dear Ones- This prophecy, as you know, is the prophecy of the coming of our Lord and Savior. The greatest story ever told, the birth of our Savior. How timely is this scripture as we prepare ourselves to celebrate Christmas - the Birth of Christ with family. Truly the world stands still. Christmas morning every soul will be home, opening gifts, unsaved and saved alike, in celebration. Businesses will not open in celebration of this day. ISNT it amazing that though many will open gifts, and many decorate their homes, many will say they don't believe in Christ. If they do not believe then why do they celebrate? Why do they take the time to do what they are doing? Because deep down all souls KNOW that the LORD is who HE says He is.  Rejoice this year- in WHO Christ is, and what HE has done to give us each a new life!  It's NOT about the p

Why do you do what you do??

These questions have been cultivating in my mind and heart for months...  Why do I do what I do? Why do I homeschool? Why do I give the Word? Why do I counsel my children? Why do I counsel them according to the Word? Why do I stand for purity in flesh as well in the heart? Why do I believe in courtship? Why do I believe that when people enter a family it is not their place to destroy and interfere in relationships? Why why why? I homeschool because I desire for my children to live for Christ. I desire for them to be fed things of righteousness, and to have a fighting chance to go against society in area for the sake of the Cross.  I give the Word because it what I am expected to do and as a follower of Christ it is my everything. If I am to call myself a believer in Jesus then I am expected to follow in HIS footsteps and live by HIS WORD. I counsel my children to see them glorify Christ in their lives, To be the men and women of God, and keep them from stumbling around in their faith a

Daily Scripture and thoughts

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20 ESV) Dear Ones This is why you are not to forsake the assembling of yourselves. This is why you need and should desire to be with the body of Christ. Not only do they guide you and strengthen you but also where two or three are gathered in His name- there He is among them. What a blessing to know that as we gather together our Lord Savior is there with us. We need HIM- I need HIM to make me strong. To give me answers, to guide me through His truth and help me walk when I just don't feel like it. Seek Him today- Stop going through the motions! Solo para La Gloria De Dios, Angie

Daily scripture and thoughts

Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! (Psalm 27:7 ESV) This prayer almost seems like a pray of desperation. A cry out pleading for the Lord to answer when He calls. How many times have we done that? We see ourselves in a place of desperation, often times because we have placed ourselves there, and we need to hear a Word from the Lord. We need to hear his voice, for direction, counsel, only when we need it. What about the time all is well? What about the times when we are good and life is good, do we call on His name then? Dear Ones- our Lord, heavenly Father is the best counselor, best parent and best to seek advice from. He has the truth in Him. He will always steer you towards righteousness, He will guide you towards purity of heart. He will always be sure that you live according to His Word. Too many times the advice we seek feeds the flesh and keeps you from changing or displaying the full truth.  Cry out to our Lord. He knows already! Solo para la Gloria

Daily scripture and thoughts

Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. (Psalms 119:114 KJV) Dear ones The wonderful thing about the Word is the constant reminder of how wonderful our Lord is. He never changes. His love is selfless and gracious. We are to find our hope and strength in Him as life changes. You can put all your hope in the fact He will not change. Lord give me strength through the changes, grace for those who need it and mercy for those who don't deserve it. Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Daily scripture and thoughts

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV) What does it mean dear ones to be a new creation? What does it mean the old has passed away? As believers in Christ- as we read His Word we are to grow and change. We are to see life differently. We are to be different. We are to be willing to step out and go against the norm and stand on the Word of God and say I will not do that or I will not live in sin. If we are not willing to stand then why do we call ourselves Christians??? Why bother? We make a mockery of the Cross and the sacrifice Christ made. Why care more what others think then what Christ sees in you? When you stand before our Lord then you will wish you would have become new, thought differently and allowed His Word make you new.  It's not too late to turn from your ways and allow the Word to change you! Daily scripture and thoughts

Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life. (1 John 2:24, 25 ESV) Dear ones  Abiding- what does it mean? Abide- to exist, to be, to dwell. See the Word must live within. It must be a source of life, breathe, and food to you. It must dwell within you that it invades your thought process and your actions. These Words will pour life into and joy unspeakable. They will penetrate your very heart and soul with His presence and when you face life and situations you face them with His Words and strength that nothing can shake you! Be strengthened today and allow His Word to guide you when you seek, strengthen you when you are weak and bring you joy when you are sad! Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Daily scriptures and thoughts

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! (Psalm 95:1, 2 ESV) Rejoicing in The Lord, singing to Him true praise and thanksgiving. We have heard how we are to give thanks in all things? Let me ask you how do you give thanks when you have no job and no way of getting providing? How do give thinks when you hear of all the evil in this world? How do give thanks in all things? Dear ones giving thanks should not be mandated or directed by our circumstances. Giving thanks should be directed by how much we love our Lord and Savior. Too many times we allow how we feel to interfere with how we give thanks and how we praise the  King of Kings! Sunday mornings we allow how good the music is to direct how we praise. In situations we allow whether the situation is positive or negative affect how we praise Him. Do you realize how selfish that is? Th

Daily scripture and thoughts

“At that time, declares the Lord, I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they shall be my people.” Thus says the Lord : “The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest, the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. (Jeremiah 31:1-3 ESV) Through Isreals adulterous hearts The Lord was faithful and desired reconciliation with his people. He has always longed for faithfulness, dedication and love of His children, yet we all so easily wonder from Him. We seek to fulfill ourselves with empty things. Temporary fulfillment. He continues His faithfulness to us inspite of our doubts, and wavering hearts. Think about how people love, one minute they are so in love, and the next second that love is gone- truth be told loving someone is a choice - not a feeling. Feelings are infatuation or lust not love. The Lord has chosen to love His people, his children

Daily scripture and thoughts

By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom. (Proverbs 13:10 ESV) Insolence-  adjective 1. boldly rude or disrespectful; contemptuously impertinent; insulting:  an insolent reply. How many times in your life have you been bodily rude to someone or disrespectful? I know one of my triggers, one way my children can set me off is to be disrespectful towards me. Disrespect shows a level of contempt or even disregard to the person who is speaking into you. I believe in my life and actions towards them I have done nothing to deserve that kind of disrespect. Even if I did- how is that fulfilling the commandment to Honor thy father and mother. Dear ones wisdom is such a gift to be treasured. It is gift of prevention and protection bestowed on you. Why not treasure it? Instead so many resent it. Proverbs is filled with verses about wisdom and the treasure it is. Read them, meditate and memorize them. For the wisdom being bestow is a gift to guide you! Solo par

Daily scripture and thoughts

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! (Psalm 143:10 ESV) Often times we desire to know the Will of God. His Will belongs to Him and we must be taught through the Word and the Holy Spirit how to live in His Will. His Will is His to Know and we may desire to know it and live it but we can't and won't if we don't know His Heart. To know the heart of Christ is to know His Will in your life. His Will is for you to lead a life of righteousness, and love as He did. It truly is that simple. Here come the hard part, manifesting that in life. Living life to glorify Him and not yourself, dying to your flesh and sin. Dear ones knowing the Will of God for your life is knowing the heart of Christ, is surrendering yourself to Him! Is there an area of your life that you are determined to do your Will not His? Be careful- our will leads into sin and a whole mess! Solo para la Gloria De Dios Angie

Daily scripture and thoughts

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8 ESV) What a profound scripture! Think about it the Word was here before there was form to the earth. The Word stands in everything and will stand to the end. It is never changes and is steadfast through everything. We can rely on it, lean it and be strengthened by it. We must do two things- believe it and read it! Dear ones-the Word is our strength when we are weak, timeless and guides us to peace. It brings us joy unending! But we must read it, meditate on it, and know it! Be strong in The Lord and seek His face! Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Daily scripture and thoughts

With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! (Psalm 119:10 ESV) How many of us seek him with our whole hearts? How many seek Him at all? Lord my heart yearns for you. Yearns to hear your voice and see your face. Lord give me strength  to follow your commandments, to love as you loved, and to be guided by your truth into righteousness. Father- I know you come to those who truly seek you! Dear ones circumstances should not mandate how much you seek Him. To know Him, to love Him, to be able to do His Will you must seek Him daily. How? By reading His Word!  Seek Him today for strength, seek Him for answers, seek Him Dear Ones- but it is by Him we have life, love and joy! Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. (2 Corinthians 10:17, 18 ESV) Often times as  you seek approval, and desire for others to tell you how well you are doing. You will go as far as share how good you are doing to tell everyone. But most of the time you are boasting in yourself. How many of you boast in The Lord? How many boast about the Word spoken or the Word you read today? What is your conversation about more? Yourself, all the good you do, or all the good The Lord has done for you through you? Dear ones be careful that you aren't doing things as the world does! Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Daily scriptures and thoughts

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. (Psalm 119:11 ESV) To not sin against our Lord we have to know His Word and most of all we must store them up in our heart so when the attacks come we can fight-those words will appear before our eyes to remind us that the fight is His-  that he has defeated already. Dear ones are you battling something? How are you fighting? Are you engrossed in scripture? Or are you looking to another to help you feel better?  My sweet children the one you love can not do that for you! They can not be God in your life!!! They can not fight that fight for you. Only our Lord and Savior can fight that fight - that only he has defeated! How many are lifting their eyes to heaven for help, and strength? Young ladies how many of you encouraging your men to pray when they are struggling or praying with them??  You can't be to him or to her what Christ is and will be and is!!! Where does your help come from? Solo para la Gloria de D

Daily Scripture and thoughts

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36 ESV) Two statements are made in this scripture- one we are to believe in the Son. We are to know who He is and what He did.  Two- we must obey. Obedience is the most important part of this statement and of being a believer in Christ.  It is not just being good, saying the right things but it is about obedience! It is about reading the Word and obeying the Commandments given by Christ.  Do you know how many there are? Dear ones- it is important for you to know. It is important for you to obey Christ not just believe in Him. Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

How do you see Wisdom?

This morning this has been on my mind- Wisdom- What is it? How do you see it? Wisdom- 1828 Webster  The right use or exercise of knowledge; the choice of laudable ends, and of the best means to accomplish them. This is wisdom in act, effect, or practice. If wisdom is to be considered as a faculty of the mind, it is the faculty of discerning or judging what is most just, proper and useful, and if it is to be considered as an acquirement, it is the knowledge and use of what is best, most just, most proper, most conducive to prosperity or happiness. Wisdom in the first sense, or practical wisdom, is nearly synonymous with discretion. It differs somewhat from prudence, in this respect; prudence is the exercise of sound judgment in avoiding evils; wisdom is the exercise of sound judgment either in avoiding evils or attempting good. Prudence then is a species, of which wisdom is the genus. Proverbs 1:2-7 For learning what wisdom and discipline are; for understanding insightful sayings;  for

Daily scripture and thoughts

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17 ESV) Everything you do- everything -how many of us do everything in word or deed? Think of all the things you do all day- it says everything you do in your words or deed - do everything for Him. I wonder if we all took the time to think of all we do, and consciously devoted it to Christ if there would be anything we do that we would not or could not devote to Him because it is sin? Try it today- as you get up say I do this for your Lord Jesus- and see how far you go before you come upon something you can not devote to Him! Lord I dedicate these Words to you! May I walk with you all day- I give you praise my Lord for all you do in my life. Be with me as I consciously walk with You to do all things in Word or deed to Your glory! In Jesus name- Amen Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Life struggles

Do you ever wonder when the struggle will end? When you will see a time when it just doesn't seem to always be a dog eat dog? Or robbing Peter to pay Paul situation? When will it end? I often wonder that- and the the inner battle begins. The battle between flesh and spirit.  The one speaks to me and reminds me of scripture and convictions and then the other side that reminds me that I am an able body capable of assisting in even a small way.  This voice in my head reminds me of what I have been called to: caring for my children, schooling my children, guiding them in righteousness and the Word while the other one says if you worked it would help some.  In so many ways I feel like I am failing. I have no determination or faithfulness in schooling Noah. I have not been diligent in giving him the Word. What has happened to me?  I know on this side of eternity the battle will never cease. It will always be raging. Why do some in this world seem to not struggle? Why does it seem like th

Daily thoughts and Scripture

Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16:24 ESV) Asking in the name of Jesus- that is the kind of power we have, but we must remember that when we ask it must line up with the character and will of God. We can't just ask in His name expecting riches. We can ask in His Name expecting answers, direction, peace and provision. Remember when we ask in His name- that mighty name of Christ we must be sure that what we are asking for is part of who He is. Lord let this word embed itself in our hearts so we might hear and know that you are truly a mighty God. Lord you are worthy and you bring peace in time of trouble and strength when we are weak! Be with all of us this day. Meet our needs - In Jesus name - Amen Solo para la Gloria de Dios Angie

Birthday...

Birthdays seem to come and go so very quickly... time goes way too fast. Today is My beloved's birthday- 42 years old and time is starting show on his face and with that- His wisdom shows as well. I have never been so blessed by someone. He brings me more joy and more challenges than anyone in my life. Happy Birthday to My beloved! Solo para la gloria de Dios Angie

Daily Thoughts and Scripture

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. (1 John 5:13-15 ESV) Many times these scriptures are misinterrupted. People use them as an incantation to their fleshly desires. Saying but I asked accoring to His will or another translations says accoring to the name of Jesus but truth be told you must know the heart of Christ. His heart is not to give us riches unending but just what we need so that we can survive. He does not desire to answer prayers that woul lead us away from Him. His desire is to get us to  place of knowing who we are without HIM, and to need HIm more than life or breath. Believe it when I say that The Lord loves you and deisres  to be with ou always, an desires for you to know

Daily scripture and thoughts

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; (Psalm 130:5 ESV) Sometimes as we seek to do God's will and pray we have to wait. In today's day waiting is agony. Imagine the time of letters, where you sent a letter with a message that was in need of a response, no telephones or email for instant response. You waited and waited anxiously for a return letter to be brought by the postman. Often times when we are seeking for an answer from The Lord we must wait- wait in anticipation, wait in torment it seems but wait we must for His answer is worth the wait. In the meantime as we wait as we pray, we will find the hope and strength we need in His Word. Dear Ones if you are in a season of wait, find your hope and strength in His Word because He truly is the strength you need. The Wait is never long when you realize whatever you are waiting upon is eternity! Solo para lag Gloria de Dios Angie
