Daily Scripture and Thoughts

For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (John 3:20, 21 ESV)

Dear Ones

The Light- what is it and how do we remain in it? So many of us just live day by day- never considering anything, never thinking that we are in darkness or in light just thinking we are good person, because we do not steal major things, or we do not kill people but we hate our neighbor, our brother, our coworker. we do not treat people poorly, but we are short with our loved ones, or impatient and unkind to your parents. How is this not wickedness? Actually according to the Word all these "normal" behaviors are sin. They are darkness but we get so use to behaving this way excusing our behavior away with our physical condition or justifying it  with the sin or the other person. We are never justified in sin. We will never walk in the Light unless we think differently and do things differently even things that go against our own natural way of handling things, and people. We have to look at our own flesh as our enemy even!

Lord Help us to walk in your Light and live in your truth. Help us to make ourselves an enemy if we have to so that we can live in your Light and by your Word. Lord let this be sow for everyone who reads this. Let them desire you more and more. Help me to desire you more and  more.

In Jesus Name- Amen

Whisperings

Some of you know I have lots of children. Seven to be exact, and most of them are older and Most of them are young men except for one boy.   Lately one of my youngmen have been struggling. He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "
