Daily scripture and thoughts

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. (1 John 4:13-15 ESV)

Dear Ones
What a wonderful promise we have been given. Not only did our Savior receive the wrath for our sin but then He in turn sent His Spirit to abide with us for guidance, reassurance and strength in for all time . He guides use to His Truth as we seek and find the truth and confess our sins to Him and ask Him to dwell with us and in us then we find that we have something to rejoice over because we have found the most precious and joyous gift- Christ.

Dear ones do not take advantage of this gift by lying to yourself and others about who you are and what you love for. Examine your heart- does the Spirit of the living God dwell there? Do you hear his voice? If not be warned dear ones that there is one who would seek to destroy you. There is an enemy to your own soul- and even your own heart can be trusted.

Lord we thank you for your sacrifice. Let us not ever take advantage of what you have done. Lord forgive us of our sins and lack of strength to overcome them. Lord we know you are able and through you we are able. May we glorify you this day in not only what we say or do but also with whatever dwells in our kinds and in our hearts.

We thank you Father for your goodness
In Jesus Name
Amen

He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "
