Daily scripture and thoughts

for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you. (1 Peter 1:24, 25 ESV) Dear Ones Though for the most part we live by our flesh this scripture reminds us that it will fade. It will die - and we will be lost if we do not have the Word. The Word brings eternal life that though our flesh will continue to wither and fade - we will see eternity if we rely on the Word. We live it out and seek His face daily. Lord guide us with your truth and bring us into your everlasting arms. In Jesus Amen!

Daily scripture and thoughts

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:23, 24 ESV) Dear Ones When we work and provide for self and family we are to work with a heart remembering that we are always representatives of Christ and all we do is to bring glory to our Lord Jesus! We are to work not seeking rewards from man or this earth but to such a light that our reward will be awaiting us in heaven!  How do you see your job?  Are you grateful? Do you give glory to our Lord for providing and using you in that place?  Do people look upon you, your attitude and see Christ radiating from you?  If not then only you can change that -- seek your rewards in heaven!!! Lord Thank you that you give us opportunity each day to represent You and your kingdom- forgive us Lord if anyway we fail you in representing you. Lord I see my inheritance in You!  To the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ

Daily scripture and thoughts

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 ESV) Dear Ones- We spend so much time thinking about so many things.. money in which we dont have enough of, girlfriends, lovers, spouses, our wants, our flesh, children, and list can go on and on- but the Word reminds us of the things we should be thinking about. It reminds us - that if we want to stop just living mediocre Christian lives then we have to STOP thinking about all the meaningless things and start thinking about things that will change us, change our thought process and change how we deal with things and others. So many people(believers) who know the Word and think they live for Christ but yet their sin is the same, it never changing always the same- have you wondered how to change it? .... are you ready for it?? STOP THINING

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7, 8 ESV)   Dear Ones You can not pray for favor from God and be in sin against His Word. Sex out of marriage, lies, manipulation, have become a daily normalcy in Christians lives. A normalcy within the church but it is sin.  This scripture is clear that you can not sow into your flesh(sin) and reap anything but corruption - disobeying the Word is not an option.  Just the same if you sow to The Spirit glorifying God with your body and actions then your reward from The Spirit is eternal life.  Which do you prefer? Lord help us to see your truth,to desire after The Spirit and to desire the rewards of eternal life. It takes us against ,the here, the now, and the constant satisfying of our own flesh. Lord help us to see what we reap we sow! Than

Daily Scripture and thoughts

And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. (Colossians 1:17, 18 ESV) Dear Ones What a gift we receive from knowing that the Lord was before all things and all things are held together in Him. As we walk through life the sin and chaos of this world makes us wonder:  what is it all about? What is life? Truly is there one who is holding and guiding us all?  It is such a great thought that it baffles our minds. Truly if you are a believer and you find comfort in His Word, then this Word will bring you peace in knowing that He is the Beginning, the first born from the dead, the Head of the Church and HE truly is the one guiding you to HIM!! Woo-hoo give a shout of praise because truly it is a comforting thought. A thought knowing that though I am sinner, though I am unworthy of Him, though I have done nothing to deserve His Grace, Me

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. (1 Timothy 2:1, 2 ESV) Dear Ones How do you hear the voice of God? How do you have a relationship with The Lord?  Well first reading His Word Daily guides you to His Word. Prayer to Him- never ceasing is how we talk to Him. In our prayers we are to give Thanks. We are to give thanks for who are in authority over us, we are to give thanks for all people... Who are the "all people" The Lord is speaking of here -- all people means all people.. We are to pray for everyone we come in contact with. We are to pray for the world so they would be called and submit to His calling. We are to pray for the Saints who need strength to endure the world and darkness.  Dear ones prayer is an important aspect In our daily walk. Do not take it for granted. It is

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. (Romans 12:3 ESV) Dear Ones  Walking in this walk with Christ can bring one to a level of arrogance. Thinking as you "seem "to be sinless that you have a right to judge others as they walk, or struggle in sin. We must be careful because that too is sin. No one as they walk the narrow path is ever in a state of perfection or have arrived. If we are true to our Lord and ourselves we are a continual work in progress never reaching the end till we see the gates of Heaven. We are to balance that with being sure we hold our brothers and sisters accountable and if we see sin in their lives loving them enough to share the Word with them to guide them back with truth, that is sober judgement. In all this dear ones remember the measure of faith the Lord has given you and also

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” (Jeremiah 17:9, 10 ESV) Dear Ones As we walk this is one aspect that we tend forget - we forget how deceitful our hearts are. So many times I hear from other believers that they feel in their heart The Lord leading them in a direction and that direction contradicts the Word of God. The Word never ever condones sin and anything that our "heart" leads us to do will most likely lead us to sin.  Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart. (Proverbs 21:2 ESV) Remember we can make excuses for our sinful state- sex out marriage is immorality- we condone it with "oh we plan on marrying anyway. "  or " we are engaged". Speaking ill of someone -- " well they offended me or hurt my feelings"  Lying, manipulating or u

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

Romans 15:5-6 5May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. Dear Ones- What a wonderful prayer of blessing to remind us of how we are to live and be towards each other. The enemy is always seeking to destroy this in families, as well as in the lives of believers and the church. He has no desire for us to live in a state of union and bring Glory to the very name of Christ. When we live submitted to Christ and in harmony- the enemy's voice is quieted. He is not loud enough to penetrate us or to change how we see each other. But when he sits on our shoulder whispering lies to us- he turns our hearts away from the very love that is being bestowed on us by others. He makes us believe things and assumptions are made, grace is not bes

Daily Scripture and Thoghts

Psalm 1:1-2 1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. Dear Ones, This scripture tells us blessed is the one who walks NOT in the counsel of the wicked... so lets see how that works in your life. When you are sharing life situations, and circumstance with someone, when that person starts to speaking ill of a person they do not know or barely know- do you walk away. Do realize that is not wise counsel? We must be careful Dear Ones-  1. we must be careful when we are speaking ill of people... that is not of God and He would not have us do that. IT does not matter who it is. Whether it be your boss, your mom, your coworker or a friend. The Word says we are to submit to our authority. We are to be kind and show the love  of Christ to others.  2. We must be careful as someone is sharing things with us that we do not

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. (1 Corinthians 1:10 ESV) Dear Ones This verse makes me very sad because in no way in Christiandom are we united. We are so divided in so many ways just as enemy would have us. In our divided state we are  ineffective for the kingdom. Reaching the lost, instead of being the task of every believer is left to those who diligently seek it like the Mormons or Jehovah Witness. Marriage has become a covenant of mockery. Loving one another as Christ loved us consist of people talking about each other and slandering one another. Grace instead of so freely given has to be earned with money or actions.  Lord forgive us. We have a responsibility as we see truth to live it and one is to unite our hearts as believers with one another. To love one another as Christ loved us... To bring the light of the Gospel t

Should you Attend a Homeschool conference?

Recently I have become a partner blogger for American Home Education and Discipleship - what a great honor it is for me.  One of the wonderful things about homeschooling conferences is the opportunity to gather with other fellow homeschoolers one time a year for that boost in the arm we all need. Homeschooling is truly the greatest blessing to all who choose to make the sacrifice but like everything there are challenges and seasons.  Homeschooling can become a challenge whether it be because of life or an educational trial, the Homeschool Conference brings opportunities to find answers or just an opportunity to be recharged  to go forth and do what the Lord has called us to do. My fellow blogger Nancy Manos speaks more on this subject so jump over to the American Home Education and Discipleship blog to read her article on "Should you Attend a homeschool conference?" Trust me it is worth your time! Solo para la gloria de Dios  Angie

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. (Ephesians 1:9, 10 ESV) Dear Ones What is the mystery of His Will? Do you know? It tells you in the next verse- He set it forth in Christ. It is to bring us, call us to Him- so that we may live for Him and with Him forever! But for that to happen we must do a few things: 1. Recognize our sinful state and need for a Savior 2. Surrender - see we can't keep living and doing things our way or the way we use to. 3. Spend time in the Word and in communication with Him Lord you have called us to you. Help us to live a life of complete surrender. Lord remove sin from our hearts and  help us to surrender to your Will, and Way.  Reveal to us the motivation of our hearts and help others to see it. We love and thank you for all you do- your grace, mercy and love- in Jesus Amen Solo para la Gloria
