Daily Scripture and Thoughts

Romans 15:5-6

5May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Dear Ones-
What a wonderful prayer of blessing to remind us of how we are to live and be towards each other. The enemy is always seeking to destroy this in families, as well as in the lives of believers and the church. He has no desire for us to live in a state of union and bring Glory to the very name of Christ.

When we live submitted to Christ and in harmony- the enemy's voice is quieted. He is not loud enough to penetrate us or to change how we see each other. But when he sits on our shoulder whispering lies to us- he turns our hearts away from the very love that is being bestowed on us by others. He makes us believe things and assumptions are made, grace is not bestowed and a hardness occurs to our heart.

Lord help us to live united in  Christ Jesus- help us to live in harmony and foresake the lies of the enemy and believe what is true in you and through you.
Lord the enemies goal is to divide and conquer with no mercy!
Protect us from the evil one- and help us to submit our flesh to you.
In Jesus Name Amen

Whisperings

Some of you know I have lots of children. Seven to be exact, and most of them are older and Most of them are young men except for one boy.   Lately one of my youngmen have been struggling. He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "
