Daily scripture and thoughts

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12 ESV) Dear Ones Staying steadfast in the test of life is a difficult daily thing. Each day as you rise do you think- how can I glorify your name today Lord? Do you think on His goodness, mercy and grace as you open your eyes?  Or is each day filled with thoughts of you and you only without any thought on HIM? Living Steadfast is facing each day with Christ in mind, on your heart, and truly seeking to step forward glorifying Him. It's funny at 40 years old sometimes 50- people wonder what life is about. Why are they here- what is life for? I am telling you now- life is to bring glory to the King of Kings. We were made to glorify HIS name in our lives. Our marriages are to sing His praises, our children are to live according to HIS Word- we are to leave a legacy for the Kingdom of Christ that goes beyond us an

Daily scripture and thoughts

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 ESV) Dear Ones It's thru our faith that we have hope in things to come. Faith and hope go hand and hand. We can not have faith without hope or hope without having faith. We can not have either of these things without truly believing in God. He is who He says He is. He can do what He says He can do- without knowing that He is and can we can not have faith or hope.  Diligently seeking  Him,the rewards you will have are faith, hope, love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness among many other gifts He bestows upon His people. Lord we give you all praise Glory and Honor and thank you that your Word gives us hope and we know Your face, Your voice and know how to live because You speak to us through It.  Help us Lord- give us strength- allow your Will to be done in our lives so that you may be glorified.  In Jesus name- amen

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

I will never forget your precepts for you have given me  life through them!!! Psalm  119:93 Dear Ones- Oh how I wish this statement from scripture was true. So quickly do we forget the very  life the Lord gave us through His Word, and return back to the sins of our flesh. We forget the sacrifice He made when it comes to our own pleasures. We forget who we were and who we are to be... I have forgotten Lord- forgive me for forgetting  how important your precepts are!!! FORGIVE ME-  Lord for continuing to feed the Word into my children. Lord give me strength, set me on fire from within so that I might not sin any longer against you! I love you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen Solo para la gloria de Dios Angie

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:10, 11 ESV) Dear Ones There is nothing better than being in the presence of our Lord. The feeling of comfort you receive in His presence, knowing that even in state of turmoil, or in the midst of the storm that when you are in His Presence you find peace and strength. No good thing does HE withhold from those who walk uprightly-- He loves you dear ones and desires to bless you with all HIS Word promises. This has nothing to do with materialism or money- this has everything to do with HIM. Money can not buy love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. These are His gifts to us as we walk according to His Word and His Ways denying our flesh and unrighteousness. We can not hav

Daily scripture and thoughts

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. (John 1:9, 10 ESV) Dear Ones The true Light- Christ gives light to everyone- the world did not know Him.  It is always amazing to me how much has not changed since Jesus' feet touch the ground of this earth. The world is the same today. They still do not know Him. They want to make Him into an image they are able to worship. They want to make Him injust. They desire to make Him feminine instead of mighty, and strong with gentleness for those who are called by His name. Jesus is who we want Him to be when we want Him to be, and how we went Him to be. Instead of allowing Him to be our Lord of all!  He is the one true Light! Stop wondering around in the dark seeking something to fill the void and emptiness that only Christ can fill. Thank you Lord that through Christ you brought light to our lives and hope to our hearts. Help

Daily scripture and thoughts

Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.  (John 14:23 -24 ESV) Dears Ones How do you show people in life you love them? As children you show love by obedience. As " teenagers" by following and submitting to your parents, as adults by living out in your life the things your parents taught you.  As believers in Christ , our Father expects no different. Here out of Jesus' mouth -He shares how our love is to manifest. We are to love Christ in our deeds as well as our words.  When we share with others that we are Believers they have an expectation of behavior and also an expectation of how we are to speak. We sin when we go against not only the expectation because we make a mockery of God but also the very fact that we do not live by H

Daily Scripture and thoughts

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:9 ESV) Dear Ones  Paul is encouraging believers that he discipled and shared The Word with to follow after and live according to what they have seen and learned.  Human beings are mimickers- they follow after each other doing as the others do- if a certain shirt is In style- then everyone is wearing it. Piercings are a fad- everyone is punching holes all over their body, tattoos are the latest and greatest and guess what, yep everyone is doing it.   When you think independently then going against the flow then you are considered strange or weird. Following hard after Christ is not popular. Allowing His Word to manifest it self, standing for purity of body and mind, foresaking your flesh is uncommon.  Loving others more than yourself, no we live by the philosophy it's a dog eat dog world. Loving our neighbors, and our enemies, NO way... Whether less

Daily scripture and thoughts

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! (Psalm 143:10 ESV) Dear Ones The way we show our love for Our Lord is be following His Word and His Commandments. Often we struggle with knowing the Will of God. God's will is obvious and evident if you follow hard after His Word and His Way.  Often times we believe we are in His Will based on our feelings not based on the truth, seeking His face in prayer or even lining what we are doing with the Word of God. Scripture says that even we are to seek counsel, and pray without ceasing. We are NEVER in His will when we are in sin!  We can lie and manipulate truth to make it look like we are walking in God"s Will but truth be told we would be making a mockery out of the Lord.  Dear Ones- are you sure at this moment you are in God's Will in your relationship? Are you sure in how you are conducting yourself that you are in God's Will?  When was the last time you went with your "f

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 ESV) Dear Ones- The Lord continues to bless us, and show us His love through His Grace and Mercy in our lives. Forsaking what we deserve and continuing to bless us and use things in our lives for good, even when at the moment there seems to be no good in what is happening. Would the sacrifice of the Cross be enough for you to love the Lord if He did nothing else in your life? We continually need and ask of the Lord- we ask more besides the greatest love sacrifice HE bestowed on us. There is nothing greater anyone can do, yet we want more. We ask for more.. we say things like ' if you love me Lord, you will......" What more do you need? Lord forgive us for minimizing the Cross for asking more than your greatest Sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ. Lord we are a desperate people, who need to know your Word and to live it in our lives. You ask-

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.(KJV) Dear Ones Waiting on the Lord to answer and guide us not always so easy. We allow our flesh, our feelings and even our heart to interfere with what we should be doing. We allow ourselves to be deceived by our emotions. Yes it does deceive because if it convinces that what you are doing is ok, and yet it does against the Word of God then you are being deceived.  Example- if you have convinced that sex out of marriage is ok " because this is the one you "intend" to marry" then you have been deceived because the Word that immorality is sin.  or if you make a decision without praying, consulting your spiritual authorities and asking most of all the Lord and waiting upon him for an answer then you are going against the Word- because it tells you to seek the Lord first, then counsel. But so many don't even bother praying they just make a decision and when it does not work out turn and blame   or q

Daily scripture and thoughts

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, (Ephesians 1:7 ESV) Dear Ones- This verse is a reminder of the cleansing we receive by His Blood, being set free from sin. But also that it is HIS blood and grace is His to give. We have the responsibility to receive that gift with thanksgiving realizing the gift it really is in our lives. Truth be told many times we forsake the gift, and continue in our state of sin. We make a mockery of His sacrifice. We think by saying "forgive me Lord" but never changing, still living and doing what we know goes against His Word that we should continue to receive favor and we even have the nerve to think we should receive blessings as if His sacrifice isn't enough to make us turn from sin and forsake our flesh. Lord forgive us of our Pride-- forgive us for continually making a mockery of Your Son's sacrifice. Penetrate our hearts- change us Lord so that we may stan

When too much become too much

Yesterday was busy- normal get up spend time in the Word, Ellie wakes up, pry Joey and Noah out of bed, breakfast, schooling, Noah and answer emails.... day By the end of the day it was not so normally- the weight of life, the burdens that we carry as mothers was too heavy for me to bear. I lost it over the mountain of laundry that awaited me downstairs that no one had touched since I had been sick a few days.  As I sat there and cried I wondered why-- why grown men could be so thoughtless? How did I raise men to not be considerate and not be a blessing? I wondered how I failed... how could I do things differently to not have the same result with Noah and Ellie? I wondered if I could be different? I wondered if there was any use in raising them in Christ or homeschooling them or even trying to do things with them? What is the use? What benefit is there to gain in raising them in Christ? This is where I am reminded of immediate obedience- Abraham was asked to take his son - the one he h

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. (1 Timothy 6:7-9 ESV) Dear Ones This world is obsessed with materialism. The latest phones, computers, tablets, new cars with technology and on and on it goes but truthfully it means NOTHING.. and in the end it will mean nothing. None of it will go with us, all of it will burn when the Lord returns. So what is it about humans that makes us so obsessed with things. It reminds me of an animal who will kill themselves to get something shine. No thought process comes into play. It is all about getting the object at the risk of their life. IS that who we are? are we all about getting the "object" at the risk of our souls? Sometimes those materialistic things require our soul... we m

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. (Jeremiah 33:2, 3 ESV) Dear Ones- The Lord formed the earth No matter what the world may say He was here in the beginning and created all you see before you. He is who He says He is- He is the Lord of Lords. And if you call upon His name He is diligent and faithful to answer you. Not always in the way that you desire but He will answer. Sometimes when we seek His face and desire to hear His voice and nothing comes, it does not mean He has not heard- it means He is there, but not ready to answer you, or the answer is on its way. Trust me when I say He is there and He has heard you.  Stand fast dear ones and trust in the Lord with all your heart. Stay faithful to His will, His way, and His Word.  Lord We are so thankful that you were here from the beginning. That guide us in truth and show

Daily scripture and thoughts

And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. (James 3:6-10 ESV) Dear Ones Our tongue is such a powerful member of our body. It can be used to build or tear down, it can be used to bring happiness to a heart or pain. As people of Christ we must remember that we will give an account for every word spoken ( I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and
