Serving

One of the greatest gifts in being in ministry is having the opportunity to serve your family, for example your siblings.

Today my beloved help and served Communion which is one of the blessings of an Elder within our church, but it always touches my heart to see him serving in this capacity, but my heart gets especially touched when I see him serve his children.

As I watched my beloved serve the Bread of Life tears came to my eyes as I watched him serve his sister. I wonder if I am the only one that sees the privilege behind the act of serving? Serving communion, the Lord's Supper, is truly a reflective reminder of the sacrifice Christ made and so many take it so fleetingly. What a honor it is to serve the people who you grew up with and know you well.

Thank you Lord for the gift you have given us as a reminder of your sacrifice. May it be a blessing to others and may others take it as seriously. We praise you and glorify your name.

To the Glory of our Lord Jesus
