Walking in integrity, what does that mean? According to the dictionary, it means adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. The problem in this world, as you seek to walk according to this scripture, is people do not desire honesty. They do not want to walk in adherence to a moral or ethical principle. They interpret scripture according to their understanding and not the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Most are just attending church without any manifestation in their lives of the grace which is granted in their lives.

This scripture points out that one who walks in that integrity, his children are then blessed by the very fact that he or she desires to walk according to moral or even ethical principle- but are they? Too often the standard children have are what they see in the world, not what is set by the Word. They want parents who turn a blinds eye to sin, who do not challenge them, or guide them or discipline them. They want a "friend" and not a parent. But what children do not see, or even realize is, that parents are accountable before a Holy Righteous Loving God, who is also Judge, for everything they did or did not do to bring you up according to the Will and Glory of God.

Let us seek to live out this word in our lives. By walking according to the heart of God, glorify Christ in all we do.

Thank you for walking with me on this journey.

He. Is the bread of Life

The sayings of the Bible can be confusing sometimes. Here Jesus is talking about food and thirst but truly He is not talking about physical
food but talking about food for the soul. See the Lord is to our souls what food is for our body. Matthew Henry states, " Christ shows that he is the true Bread; he is to the soul what bread is to the body, nourishes and supports the spiritual life. He is the Bread of God. Bread which the Father gives, which he has made to be the food of our souls. Bread nourishes only by the powers of a living body; but Christ is himself living Bread, and nourishes by his own power. The doctrine of Christ crucified is now as strengthening and comforting to a believer as ever it was."

Dear Ones so often we seek to be fed and filled by the things of this world. Hoping to be filled and find contentment through every means but the one who gives everlasting food to our souls. Jesus is the ever lasting bread of life who brings us to a place of true joy that nothing in this world could fulfill. But you must first relinquish yourself to Him, believing that He died and rose and came for the redemption of sin. If you are seeking to be truly fed, seeking for a satisfaction that goes beyond this world then the answer is Jesus!

Don't worry

Often we find ourselves worrying about tomorrow. Not focusing on the today because of what might happen tomorrow. The Bible tells us not to worry at all, but this message is a great reminder. Remember today has enough trials to keep us focused on today instead of worrying what tomorrow will bring. Keep your mind set on the things above. Let God do what He does best. He manages all things better than we could ever attempt to do. So leave tomorrow in the hands of God.

Friendships/ casting stone

In life we seek to find friends. Ones that encourage us, guide us to the Lord when we stray, ones that will love unconditionally and even in some circumstance will love sacrificially the way that Christ did. Through the years people have come and gone out of my life some gently and some not so kindly. In the end you look back and wonder what value did that person or persons have on your life. Some you can see so clearly and others well you just are left wondering if they had any at all. You wonder what was it the Lord wanted you to see or learn. This is where I am today! I am trying to see what it is I was to learn. All I can see is the pain, the hurt, the ungodly consistency of behavior of people that I once called friend. But I spend time making sure that I examine my plank. I make sure I seek my failures and my heart is to learn so that I may glorify the Lord in all I say and do. I want to be better and do better for the Lord. In so many ways the body of Christ is failing. People are failing Christ. They are not loving as they should, nor showing grace, or forgiving as Christ did. The church in general is judgmental, gossipy, slanderous and causing many to stumble. They are wolves in sheep's clothing preying on the hearts of man, waiting to devour it. They are forsaking the true calling of Christ over personal or even corporate agendas. Oh dear Saints, let us stand on the Word, stand on the side of grace, and loving as Christ did- who stated, he who has no sin cast the first stone, though he was sinless and could have thrown a stone, but He chose to show us what true love and grace looks like.1 Peter 4:8 says Love covers a multitude of sin. This leaves an impression but some sins are not covered, but is not true because in Proverbs it states: “Hatred stirs up conflicts, but love covers all offenses.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:12‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ There is no sin that cannot be covered by the blood of Jesus. He came to redeem the lost. Let us remember that we cannot stand righteously before the throne- no, not one of us without Jesus Christ, who told us that you will know them by their love for one another.

Thank you for journeying with me this morning through the Word of God.

May we glorify Him, and His Word as we step out our door and interact with the world.

I will answer you…

Life has been so overwhelming lately, time seems to slip away, and I don't feel like I have enough time in my day to accomplish all that I need to accomplish. I have neglected my time with the Lord. In a prayer meeting yesterday a peace washed over me, I felt the stress I was carrying with me melt away and the Holy Spirit impressed on me so clearly that though I may not have enough time to successfully accomplish all the things I need to in each day, one thing is for certain is HOW much I need my time in the Word. I need that time to help keep my mind focused on the things above, and remind me that the things of this world, the pressures, expectations, deadlines, and requirements are nothing. They mean absolutely nothing in light of eternity and my walk with Christ is what is most important… so let us refocus on the things that matter-The Word of God and our time with Him.

"Thus says the Lord, who made the earth, the Lord who formed it, to establish it—the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

As we face trials of life, and seek answers we often forget to turn to the One who has formed the earth and established it. We forget that the One who created us would have all the answers we seek. He directs us to heal, and directs us with His truth because He knows us better than we know ourselves!!

Seek you first the Kingdom of heaven dear ones, because this world does nothing for you. It will lead you to destruction, it will leave you feeling hopeless and very heavy laden with the weight of the trials.

We have a light, an unexplainable light, that gives us hope, that makes our burdens light and shows us the truth of this world, reveals the work of the enemy in our lives, and brings clear perspective to the darkness.

Call to Him and HE WILL ANSWER YOU.

Are there moments or times when you know you need to pray, you feel a need to pray and you just don't know what to say? I find myself in that place more often than I want.

" In our weakness we have the help of the Spirit. Jesus is our intercessor in heaven ( Heb 7:25 ), and the Spirit is our intercessor on earth within our hearts. We are limited and ignorant, but the Spirit uses unspoken groanings to communicate our needs. This is not “speaking in tongues or languages” (Gk glossolalia). It is instead wordless. Our heavenly Father knows what is happening in our lives and within the deep recesses of our personalities ( 1Sm 16:7 ; Pr 15:11 ; Jr 17:10 ). " Holman Study Bible Notes

Be reassured when you are at a loss for words, the Holy Spirit intercedes on your behalf.

Christ suffered for our sin

Did you know that Christ suffered on the cross for everyone? Yes, everyone. Even those who do not believe, even those who reject him, even those who state He was not the Messiah. Yes, he suffered for all. What an amazing thought, isn't it? Those who do not know Christ have no idea of the great gift He has given by His sacrifice.

Lets us all be great examples of that great sacrifice and good stewards of the Gospel of Christ.

For I am not ashamed

In today's world where standing for the Word of God is frowned upon. How do we stand against the hatred people feel towards Believers of Christ and His Word. We have a choice to make to stand on the Word and or bow our heads in shame.

Why would one be ashamed? Well, because standing means turning from sin and every appearance of evil. Things you might have done, ways you use to talk or even people you use to hang out with must be examined in the light of this Gospel. In the end there are those who would much rather not share or rather not change for fear of rejection by their friends or family.

Challenge: dear one stand on the Word, not with fear. Be strong and courageous, knowing that God gives us strength to stand on the Gospel of Christ that brings salvation to all who believe.

God is my salvation

People spend their life trying to be good. They are good people, living good lives, being giving and kind to everyone. One fact is certain, there is nothing we can do that will save us. Only Christ through his death and resurrection, saves those who are lost. Though you live a good life, have good morals, with a good heart, you are still lost to sin in death without the blood of Jesus to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

God is our strength in any trial, so stand strong dear Saint, and know that though the burden may seem heavy, and trial too great to face, the hope we have gone beyond what we see, and the strength we have is one who created the heavens and the earth.

Show brotherly love

This scripture is one of many that tells Believers how we should be with one another. How we should act and love each other. The unfortunate thing is most churches do not manifest this kind of love. If you attend a church for a length of time, try not going for a few weeks, most people won't notice, if they notice they won't call or come by to see if you are ill or if something is wrong. There are exceptions to everything and If the opposite happens, rejoice because you have a church that is manifesting the love that Christ commands to all of us. We are to love one another, be concerned about each other and manifest in actions, not just in words a fellowship of family.

Challenge: if you are a regular part of a church, is there someone that comes to, mind you have not seen at church? I challenge you to text, call or email them, see how they are. Show the love of Christ to someone who did need it right now.

Thank you for walking with me,

I have blogged about this matter before. Manifesting forgiveness in your life and your walk with Christ is truly having the heart like Christ. Too often though we forgive with stipulations, or forgive with "buts". In this sermon preached by Voddie, he speaks on true forgiveness and what it should look like as a believer in Christ... how we should manifest that forgiveness.

He makes such a valid point at one point of how when we display unforgiveness that we are basically telling God; I know you sent your son to die for me and this person, but it isn't good enough. They must do.... for my forgiveness... Die again on the Cross Jesus!! This pierced my heart... and truly spoke deeply to my soul and I am hoping it will speak to you as well.

Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.

We are rescued

Sometimes in life it is hard to feel like evil is not winning in our lives. We find ourselves struggling and discouraged by others, by circumstances, by life in general. It can get so overwhelming to think positive, to be positive and feel the love that we are suppose to feel from our Lord to count it all joy.

Believers are suppose to feel so confident in God's love that nothing is to affect them. (at least that is the false perception placed on Believers) The reality is life affects us, hurts us, discourages us, and makes us realize our need for the Love of God to overwhelm us so deeply!  He protects his Godly one- and He even protects us from ourselves.

Challenge: are you feeling discouraged?  Do you feel as if evil wins in your life? Remember that God protects His Godly ones.. be encouraged in knowing that the Lord loves you, and protects you, but also places you in places to strengthen you toward Him and change you.

God's everlasting love

Could you imagine if we could understand the everlasting love of God? You have to wonder if we could really understand it, would there be People who turn away from Him? Or would there be emotional issues? Or would there be self esteem problems?

The reason we struggle with loving is because we do not love like God. Our love has conditions, we do not love freely. We do not love forgives, we do not love unconditionally, and we do not love relentlessly. Our love is tainted by what we gain not what we give. So we will never be able to understand the everlasting love of God. But it is comforting to know that His love is not based on me, or what I do or don't do, or what I give or don't give.

Challenge: the closest example we have to God's everlasting love is the love of a parent. A parent will do anything for their child. If you have a parent, please thank them for their love, what they have done to make you who you are. It is a blessing and gives a small glimpse of God's everlasting love for you.

Living in peace

The Word tells us that we are to " pursue peace with everyone". " Loving discipline is evidence of the Father’s grace, and His children should hold on to grace. Christians should move toward peace and holiness, and they should warn one another against falling short of God’s grace or allowing a root of bitterness to spring up within them." - from Holman Study Bible Commentary. What we find hard is living in that peace in a world that feeds off of chaos, violence and bitterness. We tend to find ourselves in this place where peace seems in possible but the truth is the only way we can manifest this peace in our lives is through the Holy Spirit. Peace is a gift given to us by the presence of the Lord. Without Him it is impossible to manifest this peace in our lives. It is evident when we look around us how much people need the presence and peace of God.

Challenge: dear one- as you seek to manifest this scripture in your life remember that this can not be done with out the presence of the Holy Spirit. As you seek to live in peace with others remember that it is for the Glory of God.

Thank you for walking with me.

This is going to be a random blog where I am sharing, so look out it might be boring 😜. I started working on Tuesday for the first time in more than 12 years. I have had the privilege for the last 12 years to stay home. I am not just working to work though. It is certainly not about the money. God has a purpose. I am not quite sure what the end result will be but we will see.

The most amazing thing about where I work, is how I can speak openly and freely about my faith, Jesus, and the bible. I get to help guide people in their walk, marriage, and relationships with products that will be life changing. I get to show people products that will grow them, encourage them and help them learn more about this loving Savior. ( Jesus).

Though this adventure is exciting I am nervous, unsure if I am doing the right thing, and wondering what it is God has for me in this place. Whatever it is may be may He be glorified.

In the meantime, I will obey and allow Him to lead, try to manage my home, homeschooling Noah and Ellie, my classes at Liberty and work. The end goal? To see my Beloved Samuel in front of a body of Christ, shepherding and ministering the Word of God to a congregation God so graciously allowed him to lead.

So my dear friends would you walk with me? Pray for me?

Thank you for living life with me.

In this world of trouble, hurt, sin and trials, the only consistent thing we have is the commands of God. They never change and are there to guide us, strengthen us, show us the way, when darkness seems to surround our hearts and mind. Rest in this dear one- that though the world seems to be changing for the worst nothing is new to our Lord. He knows the answer, He has the answer to bring peace to troubled souls and that is completely surrendered to Him and allow His Word deeply into our souls.

Challenge: if you are troubled or in a place of darkness I challenge to seek someone to pray with you, to talk to and maybe even read the Word with you. Don't allow the darkness to surround you and make you believe that there is NO HOPE. That is a lie!

Thank you for walking with me

Prayer is a way for us to interact and share our hearts with the Lord. It is not a way to stop things from happening or even a way for us to make things happen. We don't have that kind of power nor do we control the decisions of God. In prayer we release what is in our hearts to the Lord, we tend to find peace in the midst of a situation and when we are seeking answers the answers may come to us that may or may not be what we want to hear.

Prayer is is evidently very essential in our walk, because many times Jesus sought solitude to pray. He even gave us a model to use if we have no other words to offer.

It has been proven that along with fasting prayer is one of the most neglected spiritual disciplines in a Believers life, though it was modeled by Jesus regularly.

Challenge: Today I ask that you join me in prayer. If you have no words to say, pray the words of Jesus.

Thank you you for seeking God with me,

The Lord is faithful

In this message from 2 Thessalonians Paul is addressing his brothers and sisters in Christ. Here he asks them to pray not for him, but for the spreading of the Gospel message. At this point Paul and his companions had seen a lot and experienced a lot. Persecution was alive and thriving, evil men surrounded the proclaiming of the Gospel. The enemy has no desire to see anyone come to the saving knowledge of Christ. He desires to see man perish, but yet through the adversity, Christ covers all, and brings all to Him who heed his calling.

Did you know that you are called to proclaim the name of Christ to all? Did you know that you are also to share the gospel message to the lost world around you?

Challenge: As you go about your work, your day, I challenge you to seek an opportunity to share about the hope that lies within you. Don't share your story because that does nothing to save a soul, but share His story, His love and His sacrifice, because our story is nothing compared to His.

Let us all stand in Faith,

Pleasant Words

Pleasant words are not always so easy for us to manifest in every day life, as we live life, and have real relationships. Think of it this way, as we respond to those with a sweet spirit and kindness on our tongue, they are more responsive in a positive attitude and willingness then if we respond in frustration or impatiently. I must confess that I do not always have pleasant words for the ones I love so dearly. This should not be.

When we live out God’s Word in our life, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our hearts and our tongues, these things like pleasant words can be done. Remember it is not in our own power but ONLY through the power given to us by the present of the Holy Spirit. To receive that power, to have that ability, we must have an active, vibrant relationship with Christ. A vibrant relationship comes through reading the Word each day, speaking to Jesus through prayer, and completely surrendering to the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Challenge :
When you find yourself frustrated, aggreviated by someone’s words, or even attitude try to respond with pleasant words. See how God can change the heart of the person and melt it with your response.

Let us all glorify God not just in Word but also in deed.

Wednesday, August 24, 2016

Anger tends to be the natural response of the day. Drivers get angry constantly yelling and screaming at the person in front of them as if the person can hear you. Cashiers get angry when someone comes to their line because they would much rather just stand there doing nothing then be inconvenienced by a customer. Nurses get angry at their patients, because though they began their career loving their job they are tired of caring for sick people.

Anger surrounds our culture, people unhappy with their jobs, life, or situations. The Word of God says that we are not to let anger be a natural response to situations. In this world where we are surrounded by anger and angry people it is so hard to not mimic that same heart attitude. Our hearts are supposed to display the gifts of the Spirit, seeking to give glory to God in all circumstances.

Challenge: Let these wise words penetrate your heart and seek today how you can turn off a response of anger and bring glory to God in a situation.

Let it be so,

Ps if you accomplish the challenge, please come back and share! What an encouragement it would be to hear how God used His Word to manifest in your life!

He takes pleasure in You

The Lord loves His people. Which is why He sent His Only Son to bring us the salvation we needed to be able to have a relationship with Him. You see He did not create us to be created. He created us for His Glory and Honor. We are His!

Each of us were created for a purpose, with a gift within us to bring glory to our having Father. Most spend a lifetime running from Him, pretending He does not exist or seeking to glorify self over God in Heaven. In the end what they are seeking is a peace, love or acceptance that only comes when you submit yourself to the calling of the Lord Jesus. Surrender to the Call!

Remember, those of you who call yourself followers of Christ, that you are His people and he takes pleasure in you!

He desires to have a real relationship and desires for you to surrender to His way, His Word, and His love. Don't let the enemy steal your purpose, your peace, and know your are a Child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lord's.

Challenge: Look in the mirror what do you see? I know all the things you don't like about yourself, but the truth is you were made perfect. Flawless in the eyes of God. There was no mistake. You were meant to look and be you! So now tell yourself, God made you to be you. And thank Him for making you, you!

Glorifying the Lord with all my heart,

What is gossip? According to the dictionary it is idle talk or rumor, especially about someone else's personal or private affairs.

Gossip is an issue within some churches that it is viral, like a disease. It spreads from the top all the way to the bottom, damaging, leaving impressions, destroying reputations, all in just a few words. Oh trust me the heart isn't intently doing these things, the gossip is masked in "concern" or even "sharing". Expressing concerns about others affairs, or even sharing in a pretense of "prayer" can be viewed as gossip.

Gossip, words, destroy friendships, destroy how people view that person you are speaking of and even taint any work of God.

Rule of thumb I try to live by, if it is not about me, then it is not my place to say a word. If you are concerned just pray for that person, trust me that would work better than you destroying them with your words.

May these words glorify the Father in Heaven, for the glory of Christ.

Pride is the enemy

Pride is an enemy to us. It interferes with relationships, it justifies, and relents to no one but itself. Pride turns people's hearts against one another. Pride divides brings dishonor and as this scripture says disgrace to God, then you.

People view humility as weakness. It takes a strong person to remain humble in a situation where someone is manifesting pride, disrespect and dishonor. Where there is humility you see the wisdom. It's wisdom to be humble. It is wisdom to not display pride which in turn could make any situation worse. Humility does not demand, but shows love. Humility guides the heart back to the Lord and not to self bringing glory to Our God.

Our Lord Jesus humbled himself, spread out his arm and allowed man to nail him to a cross as an example of humility to us! There is no one in this world who has done that for another soul, but Jesus died to save souls.

As you go through your day today: look for situations where you can manifest humility over your pride. See how God uses it to not only glorify Himself, but also show you wisdom!

May the Lord be glorified

Today people have no desire to listen to advice that goes against anything they desire to do, or that challenges them. There is a saying that "there is nothing new under the sun" meaning that people are no different today as they were 10, 20, 30 or even 100 years ago. The nature of mans heart is evil without a level of morality that naturally comes from God. (“The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and incurable — who can understand it?”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:9‬ ‭HCSB‬‬) Without Christ that morality becomes skewed and man/ we start doing what we think and feel is right. The Word is our guide to keep that corruptible heart in check. It reminds us of us, and our need for a savior. It strengths us, encourages us, rebukes us and loves us. The only way to wisdom, is through the knowledge of the Lord.

May you seek His face today and decided to lay down your own desires, your own ways for His.

May He bless you and keep you.

Casting your cares

Often times it is hard for people to admit their struggles. Pride keeps them from reaching out even to God when the trials of life set in. Whether it be because of pride, embarrassment or even shame.

We find ourselves in a place alone wondering how to find the light. We are alone because that is where we are weak, we are alone because admitting to our struggle, or trial would mean letting down a guard to let someone in. Including God!

What we are afraid of is that it won't matter. He won't care. God cares about your hurt, trial or pain, but first we must recognize the source or cause of the pain.

Is it something we did?
Consequences of our choices is the hardest trial to deal with. Or even trials from someone else's choices. Either way those trials are before us to bring us to a state of humility, to bring us closer to the Lord and to the body of Christ if necessary.

Don't run from reality, not face the truth and not come before the throne asking God to move. Running does nothing but prolong the trial.

Take the time today to admit how much you need God to direct your life, and submit to Him! Allow Him to move, heal and strengthen you today! It starts with one step!

Happy is the man

As followers of "The Way" ,( did you know that is what Christians were called in the bible? Act 19:23), we find peace from the Word of God.

Do you run into people or do you have people in your life that are critical of everyone? Every word that proceeds from their month are words of wickedness, they give poor advice ,( though it may sound good it is worldly, ungodly and promotes self or money), they mock others either discretely or straight out,or they look down on others to make themselves feel better.

Remember dear one, that we are to delight in the instructions of the Lord. As we seek His Word, He will bring peace to our souls, as we seek His Word He will give direction to our path and in the end we will glorify Him in our words and in our actions.

Don't seek advice from someone whose heart is not sold out for the Lord.( going to church on Sunday is not someone who is sold out for Christ) Their advice is not worth any value. In the end you will not have peace because you are trying to be someone that God did not intend you to be. In the end you will find yourself in a dark place alone wondering how you got there. They will lead you astray.

Take heed dear one, open your heart up to the words of those who love the Lord and walk away from the temptation/the voice of those who will lead you straight to the pit of darkness.

May this Word be an encouragement to you as we walk this life together!

He existed before anything else

In spite of what you may have learned in public school, our world did not just appear in some explosive episode. It is even amazing to me that scientist even believe that something came from chaos. ( explosion) Anyway- our world did not just appear but was created by the God of all. It is hard to image that He has always been. Do you ever wonder what holds the oceans back from covering the lands? Why the moon doesn't fall from the sky into the earth? How the birds can fly?

All these things are still in the hands of God. He continues to cause the sun to rise and causes the sun to sit in the sky and then causes it to set. He keeps the world from utter chaos. The order of nature and the beauty it all still sits in the palm of His hands. Our life is just a small speck in all of that! If He is able to handle the order of the world you can trust Him with the order direction and guidance of your own life!

May these words be a reminder that our God is truly an awesome God and He cares about you and hold things in His hands. Let us trust Him today that though we can not see what it is He will do in our lives that He has our lives in the palm of his hands!

Whatever you do....

Whatever you do.... Sometimes statements in the Bible can be excused away with circumstances and situations that we feel are valid. This scripture says whatever you do, do it enthusiastically. What? Really? What if I hate my job?

Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically!

What if my life isn't what I thought it should be?

Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically!

Whatever your mind can come up with; the answer is the same: whatever you do, do it enthusiastically!

What you don't realize is by living this verse in your life, the reward that comes with it is the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Your outlook on your situation, your purpose for rising up and living should be centered around your belief in Jesus. You must focus on what really matters. Glorifying the Lord in heaven in all you say and do. If it becomes about pleasing a spouse, loved one, someone significant, or even your bosses, trust me it will be to no avail. It will never be good enough.

Seek to please God first!

God's love

Often times we hear God is love. God loves you. Or even God loves everyone. Looking at this scripture there are parameters that need to be met to be loved by God. I know,I know: nothing we do is good enough. I am not talking works. I am talking true heart. See there are those out there that think they are loved by God but live lives that are so sinful and contrary to this God they think that loves them. God desires to love you but your life must emulate that love.

How do we as mere humans emulate God's love- by keeping his precepts. Also known as His Word and commandments.

You see contrary to what the world teaches God has an expectation that if you are to be called one of His children then you should act like one of His children. Most people think that since God sent His Son for our sins and we are forgiven which then we can live as we choose. It is clear in the Bible that is not the case. There is so much more you must know.

Dear sweet ones don't be deceived by the world and it philosophies! Understand that you are loved enough John 3: 16"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21But whoever does what is true comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.".

There is more to the verse than God so loved the world that He gave us His Son!

Let us emulate Him in our lives as His children!

Put away to put on

Forgiving one another whether it be in the church or personal relationships, this is not easy. Why? Because you would have to put aside your thoughts/ feelings or even offenses on a matter, die to yourself and not be vindicated or even justified! What justice NOT served! Yep justice not served. Loving as Christ did means being willing to take the spear to the side or even to the heart and love regardless. No not easy but this verse is not a suggestion. This is what has to happen if you call yourself a Christian, or a follower of Jesus Christ. So saints of God who believe that certain steps must occur for me to forgive or love. You are wrong - nothing has to happen for you to stand in forgiveness if you are truly a loverof Jesus, stand in His strength and love as He did - with arms wide open!

Put away bitterness and put on the heart of Christ!

Planning date night - to do or not to do...

Lately I have been reading this book on wives... and God's purpose for us. I don't really want to share the title because I don't want to seem like I am bashing her or her book. I am not through it all yet. I am on chapter 4.

I have gleened some things from it. Like there is a statement she makes where she says marriages do not fail, people fail the marriage. Marriage was established by God so it can not fail for He is perfect! If you think about what she is saying It so true - people fail the covenant not God who established the covenant.

As she tries to give sound advice to wives and of course some of it is good stuff she starts to become a bit brutal in her advice. She makes such dogmatic statements that make me think wow lady isn't that a bit harsh to say. Example she was sharing about her husband liking to plan their once a week date nights. And that any woman who plans the date night is stupid for not allowing him to do it. Let me quote her words exactly: " I am not saying that a wife is rebellious for planning her evenings with her husband. I am saying she is pretty stupid. I want the pleasure of him planning things for me." (Ouch)

Well all I can say is so do I and I have been married for 24 years and in those 24 years my beloved has planned a handful of "date nights". He is a very focused man who provides well for his family and forgets that time alone is very important. He has never had the leisure to sit at a desk which would allow time to think research or even plan nights for the two of us. His job has demanded a lot from him physically so in return I take the time to show him how much it means to me by planning a night for him and I. To make such a dogmatic statement to young impressionable wives leaves them discouraged thinking that being a helpmeet such as I try to be to my beloved is wrong and now I am stupid. Honestly I don't see it as stupid. I see it as smart to help my husband In ways and areas he is either weak in or just unable to. ( again a definition of a helpmeet? What is it?)

Older women should be careful in how dogmatic we are in our statements unless it is in the scriptures. No where in scripture does it say that women should not plan date nights for their husband or that women should not help their husband.

There is more but I will leave that for another post!

We see His Glory

Man is created in the image of God. As we strive to live by His Word and allow the Word to conform our hearts, and lives we manifest God's glory from within but only when we are completely surrendered unto His will, His Word and His way.

Do others see Christ within you? If not then there is something wrong! Surrender to Jesus and He will bring you peace!

Are you Saved??

Paul Washer Video- this video challenges you and makes you question and examine. Most people would dismiss this video, stating that Paul is too passionate or too Radical.. tell me for the one who died for your sins, what does it mean to live "too radical"? What does it mean to be too ridiculous for Christ? Why is it ridiculous to love the Lord your God will all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind? Last I heard that is what the Word states. We are required to love with our lives, take up our cross and follow after Christ. People who make statements like "you are too religious or you are too radical" are confused or do not know what it is the Lord desires for His people.

There is nothing radical about dedicating your whole life to the One who gave his life for you!

Our lives are filled with words, some of them meaningful, others vain and empty, some of them hurtful. Some words bring life, others hurt or pain. God's Word is always right, it is something we can trust. This world does not want to live by God's Word, or even turn to it because it points out their wrong doings, or sin. They would rather ignore or even pretend that His Word does not exist or matter, but the truth is there is NO other Words that are more trustworthy than the Creator Himself. He knows you and me better than we know ourselves. Do you trust God's Word or turn from it because it doesn't say what you want to hear?

Rare moments

Its always so hard now a days to get my beloved to get out in the sun, whether less do something "fun". He works hard so on weekends all he wants to do is hang out at home.. this weekend we got him to go to the lake with us. The kids had a blast, and we even picnicked in the rain. It was a beautiful day.
Summer is going so fast. I am grateful for the moments we have to spend together with the children, making memories. Angie

Love your enemies

This passage is so hard to digest, so hard for people to understand whetherless manifest it in their lives. These words are not just any words but words that come directly from the mouth of Jesus. He lived this example for us when He carried His cross and died. Not once did He get angry, not once did he try to stop what was being done even though at any second He could have. Instead He endured to the end and in His last words He asked the Lord to forgive the soldiers for what they were doing. He not only showed us how to love our enemies but He showed us how to pray for them too.

On the contrast society endorses hate. Constantly trying to keep people divided based on pigment color or even ethnicity, but that divide breeds so much anger, hatred which is the very opposite of what this scriptures says we are to manifest. Can't you see there is an enemy at work? His desire is to destroy lives, marriages, friendships, relationships- wanting to see a Son stand against the teaching of his father and mother, a daughter stand against anything that is pure and righteous. The battle is on!

We all must decided where we will stand, whether it be on the side of the Word of God or on the side of the enemy.

Just remember that in the end we will all stand before the throne of God!

My hope is that we will walk to see the glory of our Lord together. Singing praises to Him because this life is not the end just the beginning!

No fear

In today's society people freely give their hearts, declaring love for someone who has not earned that love. In that " love" they live in constant fear of losing that person. Then when it is time to let go, they struggle with two fist closed to release what was not meant to be because they "were in love".

This scripture of course talks of God's perfect love for His children. Love comes from God. If we dwell in God's love then that love dwells in us and we must first be called by God to His love then in that love, we can love one another. We can not possibly love anyone properly without the love of God. (Whether it be a friend, lover Or even ourselves. )

1 John 4:16 - God is love...

if you fear " in love" then you must ask yourself is it really love?

Remember that anyone you give your heart to, would want to comfort and reassure your heart in the truth of their heart... if this is not happening then let them go!

Because Perfect Love castout fear!!!

Praise God for the never ending perfect love of God that He gave me through His Only Begotten Son. Praise Him also that my beloved husband manifest that perfect love for me, in his constant reminders of His Love for His Savior and loving me as Christ did His Bride! Not in perfection but in dedication, for we all fall short of the glory of God.

Seek you first God's love who is perfect! Allow that guide your heart to the love that you should have for others and the love they should have for you.

This post is dedicated to a sweet Young lady- she knows who she is- May you sees God's love.

Be Courageous!

via Instagram

Often times when life challenges us or even gets us down we forget the strength we receive from the Lord and His Word. Yes this was directed towards the Israelites but there is so much we can glean and know that Our God who was willing to send His Son. He would want us to remember He would always be there through every trial if we just seek His face in all things. Be courageous! #instablog

The hardest part for most believers to do is defend their faith. Most believers who are confronted by an intellectual person who will challenge what they are saying are left stunned and unsure of how to truly defend the bible or even their faith. The answer they give when questioned are: "Because this is how I grew up.” or " well just because I believe it is true” without any support.
This video from Voddie gives you a step by step answer on how you can defend your faith, most of all that the Word of God is true.

"We have a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report super natural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.”- Voddie Baucham

The support comes from 2 Peter 1:16-21
"For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased," 18we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. 19And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. 21For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."

Let us seek to defend our faith- using the Word of God, looking to strengthen ourselves always!

Accepting salvation without declaring His name...

There are so many young believers today that will accept the gift of salivation that Jesus gives but will not proclaim His name or live according to the Word. The "spirit" of compromise, and acceptance has overtaken them to a point that they stand on no foundation, their lives are like sinking stand.

If given an opportunity to speak the Gospel, they will pass it by, with the excuse of "I don't know anything" Or " I am not educated to do that" Or even " I don't have the heart too". What is funny is some of the greatest preachers, teachers, and leaders of the past were "uneducated". The difference is they allowed the Holy Spirit to direct them. There is an example in scripture of a man, who knew only of the baptism of John. His name was Apollos, you will find him in Acts chapter 18. Verse 24. He was an educated man yes, but of course if we think of the education he might have received, it would be one of the Jewish ways, customs, and religion, not on Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Yet Apollos spoke accurately on the accounts of Jesus. How is that so? He was an uneducated in the matters of Jesus, in the accounts of Christ, how could He possibly teach on it ACCURATELY?

So often we read on this third party of the trinity- You know Him, you know He dwells within you (supposively), He is the voice in the darkness, Or the guidance through the Word, and He intercedes for use before the Throne when we don't know what to say. Yes the Holy Spirit... the problem is we know He is there, we read about Him in scripture but within us, we do not believe in the power He has to use us (an empty uneducated shell) to bring the Gospel to anyone. How do some so truly believe in His power? Such as people of the Pencostal Faith Or charismatic Faith and others seem to know of Him, truly believe the Word is without error and yet do not believe in His power to use them to bring forth the gospel?!

Oh Lord help your people... remove the blinders that the enemy has place to keep us (your children) frozen from spreading the Word, glorifying your Name and living as your redeemed in this lost world.

Wisdom and knowledge of God.

via Instagram We can not imagine the level of wisdom or knowledge of God. It far surpasses the wisdom of man.Even the most educated man in all the world ( Dr. Shrikant Jichkar) does not measure up to the wisdom and knowledge of God. Nothing man creates or thinks can measure up.. My hearts to desire is to be like King Solomon whose only desire was to have wisdom and knowledge of God to govern the people- the Lord granted him his hearts desire And gave him more than just the wisdom and knowledge. (2 Chronicles 1) I pray that the Lord would grant me this so I may glorify Him in my actions, in my life, to do His Will and not my own. What is your hearts desire Children of God?! #instablog
