He. Is the bread of Life

The sayings of the Bible can be confusing sometimes. Here Jesus is talking about food and thirst but truly He is not talking about physical food but talking about food for the soul. See the Lord is to our souls what food is for our body. Matthew Henry states, " Christ shows that he is the true Bread; he is to the soul what bread is to the body, nourishes and supports the spiritual life. He is the Bread of God. Bread which the Father gives, which he has made to be the food of our souls. Bread nourishes only by the powers of a living body; but Christ is himself living Bread, and nourishes by his own power. The doctrine of Christ crucified is now as strengthening and comforting to a believer as ever it was." Dear Ones so often we seek to be fed and filled by the things of this world. I am trying to see what it is I was to learn. All I can see is the pain, the hurt, the ungodly consistency of behavior of people that I once called friend. But I spend time making sure that I examine my plank. I make sure I seek my failures and my heart is to learn so that I may glorify the Lord in all I say and do. I want to be better and do better for the Lord. In so many ways the body of Christ is failing. People a
