Adaptation of Psalm 84

A prayer and reminder that we are lost without Jesus. I sit back and watch the trials of others and how they make life so much harder because they forget where their helps comes from. Where their source of spring water is, and who can relieve the weight of life. I want to shout, " stop doing things your way, thinking in your own way? Stop thinking you are right!" God has never left you. He's proven over and over how powerful He is. May we go from strength to strength with Him and in Him. #dailyscriptureandthoughts Sent from my iPhone

We have been give all we need for life

Do you ever wonder how people live this life and walk called "Christianity"? In this scripture, it tells you that God's divine power has given us everything we need for life. That's right, we have it according to our knowledge of Jesus who called each of us by His Glory and goodness. He gives us what we need to walk the walk. So dear ones stop talking and start walking within the power He has called you into! Let's do this thing called life together for His Glory. Thank you for journeying with me. #dailyscriptureandthoughts

God knows what He is doing

The hardest part in life as we journey with Jesus is understanding the Whys of God? God is good, even when it hurts. He is still sovereign even when life seems full of chaos or empty and shallow. God is still majestic when the noise seems to never stop. God is still able when it seems He wasn't and didn't. God is listening  sweet one! Deuteronomy 29:29 says " The hidden things belong to the Lord our God..." As a child, we think we are entitled to know, but truth be told, just like any parent to His child there are things we will never understand because He is God. Rest on this knowledge dear ones! And trust in Him even when He is not doing what you want or when you want Him to. Thank you for journeying with me!  Angie

We can not deny God

You know people leave me in total frustration when they believe that the beauty, and the order of nature just happened by chance or just appeared. Or even that the wonderfulness of a baby evolved from a monkey. Man continues to deny God. God reveals himself to us in all we see and yet we continue to not want to give Him glory in our lives. But all of creation proclaims His name! I can not sit and look at my life and the beauty that is in it and not give Glory to the king of kings and Lord of Lords! Jesus Christ is Lord!  Thank you for journeying with me. #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Your need for others

Too often you hear people say I believe in God, but I don't believe in the institute of church. Here is the problem with that mindset. God did not create us to live alone hence the reason we seek out a relationship, and eventually a spouse and family. In turn in our walk with Christ, God did not create us to successfully walk with Him or minister or be ministered to alone. He intended us to live in communion with each other. "This relational DNA or "community gene" helps explain why churches need small groups. People don't come to church simply to satisfy spiritual needs. They come internally wired with a desire for connection. Their hunger for togetherness is an inescapable mark of humanity." – (Every Day Ministry)  This first two are better than one and three strand cord is not easily broken is an example given to us of our need for one another. Don't go through life alone! Live it with family, with your church and surrender yourself to your need for o

Why did God Create man?

Have you ever thought, "Why has God created man? In Isaiah He states that everyone who is called by His name, whom God has created was created for His Glory. So there you have it God created man for His Glory. I know it is hard to grasp or even wrap our minds around because we could all think of someone and go WHY God? Why would you create __________(you fill in the blank)? Then you read in your bible that He created everyone for His glory.  Even that person in the blank! The hardest part of all this is that God loves all people. YES EVERYONE!! He loves you so much that He was willing to give His Son for you so that your sins can be cleansed. Let us all rejoice that He chose to create us, and He desires to see our names written in the Lambs book of life. (if you don't know what that is- please contact me because I can help you find what it is I am talking about. It is the greatest gift ever given!)  Thank you for journeying with me today.  #dailyscriptureandthoughts Sent from

Number your days with wisdom

Even within God's Word we are reminded that our lives are short. We are reminded that our days are precious. The love that we display to others is precious. Yesterday my family and friends gathered to help us celebrate the 4th of July. Our home was full of laughter, and many voices talking, and love!! Not just love for our country with everyone wearing their patriotic colors and flag shirts, but love for each other. I am reminded this morning how precious time is. How truly blessed I am, and how I desire so deeply to have the wisdom of God to NOT waste the precious time God has bestowed upon me. This scripture is my prayer! Lord teach me to number my days carefully so that I can develop wisdom in my heart! Thank you for journeying with me. May these Words impact you today and bring a change through Christ. #dailyscriptureandthoughts. Sent from my iPhone

Prayer

Prayer is such an essential part of our walk with Jesus but it is something I still struggle with. I admit I could read the Bible all day, listen to sermons but prayer is a struggle. Lord forgive me! My heart, my hope is that this will change. Thank you for allowing me to be transparent! #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Approaching God

We forget that when we approach God we are approaching the Creator of all things. The one who brought this world into existence. We should approach Him with reverence and appreciation. God is not there for when things are bad or for our benefit or for our whims. He is not some magic genie that fixes our problems and makes us feel better. He is the one true God, the Holy One, the Creator of heaven and earth  who will bless those who keep his commandments, will bless those who love Him with all their heart, mind, and strength. He will give strength to the weary, who come to Him! But we must come before Him cleansed and a pure heart.  We must accept Him as Lord, and live for Him and die to ourselves. Thank you for your Word! Guide me in your truth, Lord!  #dailyscriptureandthoughts

But God

Sin- a never ending issue in the lives of every person on this plant BUT God! Yes there is a BUT- because God provides that but! God provides us with grace through Jesus Christ. Though the struggle is real- Jesus' life gives us the strength, the example and the hope necessary to overcome sin. May these words bring you comfort and encouragement as we seek to glorify Jesus! #dailyscriptureandthoughts

All of you

Matthew 28:18-20.. This is the reality of Jesus' teaching. He gave us a mission. All those who call themselves Christians ( which means Christ followers) have a responsibility. What does this entail? Everything! Your life is not your own, your family, your home, your things are His to use for the glory of His kingdom! Do you have the true vision of Christ for His church? Or are you just part of a social club that makes you feel good every Sunday?  #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Empty yourself

Jesus willingly submitted himself to be a slave and serve for the good and glorification of His Father in heaven. So many people live in resentment towards authorities in their lives. Never wanting anyone to "tell them what to do". But if you call yourself a "Christian" then this attitude of entitlement is not one that Christ himself carried. Christ could have had it, and honestly He was entitled! But instead He submitted to the Will of God and took on the heart  of a slave as an example for you and me. No one is entitled. Let us empty ourselves so that we can glorify Him in every area of our lives! #dailyscriptureandthoughts

You have a purpose

Purpose in life Created by God Created in His image  Created for His Glory.  We forget our purpose in life when the trials of life close in. Remember who precious you are to our Father. Bringing glory to Him in all things. #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Down in the Dust of Life

Without Christ what is your life? Most people seek to find purpose in this world. Meaning to life's biggest questions. We wonder from person to person and thing to thing, like the little bird in the book, are you my mother, trying to find where we came from and what is life truly all about. The answers are given if you are keen enough to hear. Without Jesus our lives mean nothing, there is no purpose, no hope and no meaning outside of ourselves. We end up finding ourselves down in the dust and wondering how we got there. Do you seek answers? Look for it in God's Word. He is waiting to give you life. #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Bearing each other’s burdens

Bearing each other's burdens takes trust, time, commitment and love for the people of Christ. Social media creates a loneliness like no other. People use it as a way to stay connected but it does not replace the real life need we have of true connections and real relationships. We need People who love you inspite of your sins and inspite of your faults and are willing to walk with you. I have few in my life - my family - thank you and my BF. Life is too short not to love it fully, glorifying Jesus with all that we are! #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Freedom

( see full post ) What does this mean? Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom? Freedom from what? Let's make something very clear. This scripture could easily be twisted into freedom to live and do whatever you want. The truth is without Jesus you are free to live and do whatever you want but in Jesus or correction Jesus within you - you are not free to live and do whatever you want. You are to obey the Words of God. Putting your body, your life and your "freedom" under the subjection and direction of the Lord Jesus. So what does this scripture mean? We have been given freedom from the oppression of the law, the Mosiac law required man to do a lot of things to cleanse themselves from sin. Jesus has set us free from that. He also has set us free from sin. See we are not slaves to our sin, Jesus gives us a way to walk away from sin and live in the freedom of His Grace and  Mercy. This is the true freedom of life! Dear Ones- I pray that you have that freedom that

Conviction

( see full post ) Conviction? What is that? Some would say it is this feeling,or notion of what is right or wrong or a standard you set for yourself of the things you will or won't do. The problem is that this standard that we set comes from our conscience. This standard can go against the Word of God. Are you unsure of what I mean? Example: The Lord hates sin. Would you not agree on that? Well the Bible is clear that sex before marriage is sin. But many people with in or even out of church feel NO conviction and some would even say it is ok to have sex before marriage or even "live" with the person they are intending to marry. But the definition of sexual immorality is sex between two people who are not married. (Among many other things)God's Word states: "Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality," (Galatians 5:19) This is where our conscience is broken and is not trust worthy. Dear Ones, If you are a bible believing B

Obedience

( see full post ) Today's message doesn't come from Scripture but from Dr. Tony Evans who shares with us a profound thought. Often I hear people say I don't ever hear from God, or I don't feel His presence in my life. The truth is for us to "feel" His presence and hear His voice we must first surrender our lives, and will to Him and seek to obey His Word in our lives. All too often people see God as intangible, unreachable, and inactive but the truth is. As Priscilla Shirer states, " Jesus loved you enough to die for you, do you think He doesn't love you enough to talk to you?" Dear Ones, to feel the presence of God in our lives, starts with us. Starts with surrender to God, then we must obey. Jesus' words state. "If you love Me, you will keep My commands." John 14:15 HCSB Obedience is an essential part of us hearing the voice of God and feeling his guidance and presence. And we can only know that we are living according to Hi

Walking the path of Life

( see full post ) The path of life is often a challenge. Some walk it aimlessly never considering where they are going or even where they have been. One step to the right or to the left and you will find yourself in a ditch where you have to struggle, climb or even scrape your way back on to the main path. The path, the one that leads to everlasting peace, is not an easy path to walk but is one, with each other ( brothers and sisters) and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can find ourselves maneuvering this path in peace. There is no promise that the path will be easy but we can find comfort in knowing we are not walking it alone. Dear Ones this road that leads to everlasting life can only be found in Jesus Christ. Let us walk it together! Thank you for journeying with me. #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Obedience

( see full post ) Obedience- a word we all know to well. It is suppose to be a part of our walk with Jesus but is it? This verse should not be unfamiliar to you if it is - it is a great fact to know- go read the whole book of Genesis. Here Abraham has been given the son he was promised. Now God gives him a command. Go sacrifice your only son on the mountain Moriah. Could you imagine the torment going on within this man? But yet he rose the next morning and gathered all the things he would need to fulfill the command God had gave. Never expressing the torment, no yelling, no screaming, no throwing things, no mistreating of those around him. He just obeyed. But inside (if you are a parent you already know) dying, head whirling, and I know his thoughts were like "what in the world! " Obeying God was never meant to be easy. When the God incarnate came to this earth, just before he was to be taken and beaten, He asked God if there is anyway you could take this cup from me. It wasn

Test me.Lord

( see full post ) Dear Ones we begin a new week. In this Psalm David is asking God to test Him, to examine his life and his heart and mind. In requesting this God can reveal to us the things in our lives that need to be changed. Areas of sin that we need to repent of or areas in which we refuse to obey Him in. Let this be your prayer this week. Ask Him to search you and in turn cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Thank you for journeying with me... #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Grieving The Holy Spirit

( see full post ) Don't grieve the Holy Spirit. In the verses before this verse Paul list things that people who are redeemed should and shouldn't do. They should speak truth in love, in other words be honest. Be angry, there is nothing wrong with being angry but don't allow it to cause you to sin. A thief must no longer steal and NO Foul language must come from your mouth. Yes scripture says this. It is sad because in society today using foul and vulgar language is commonplace. People use it in regular conversation with no regard to the offense it causes to the people around them and most importantly the offense it causes the Holy Spirit. We have been given a gift. "God within" us, who guides us to truth, opens our eyes to our sinful nature and reveals to us God's amazing Grace. Let us bring glory to His name in Words and Deeds. Help us all Lord especially me the greatest of sinners. Thank you for journeying with me. #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Serving in our full capacity

( see full post ) Dear Ones Today's message reminds us that we each have gifts given to us by The Holy Spirit to be used to edify the body. Without each person in the body to use those gifts it would be like a person missing a finger, hand, or a leg. Each person brings to the body a gift necessary for the furthering of the kingdom. Do you know what your gifts are? If not seek out what they are so you may serve in your full capacity!  Thank you for journeying with me. #dailyscriptureandthoughts

Unity

( see full post ) When we examine the body of Christ. You find the exact opposite of this verse manifesting within it. You find discord, gossip, people offending and people being offended. Some would say, oh that is what being in intimate relationship is like. I would beg to differ. The closest people to me, those I love I would never want to offend them though I know I do or have them be offended with me. I love them so I seek to keep peace and unity with them even if they irritate me or make me angry. Sometimes I air my frustration and other times I dismiss it and forgive because of my love for them. Dear Ones this Grace and love we give to those around us is the same Grace and love we are to show each other as members of the body. Yet what you find in some bodies is slander, gossip, discord and a lack of unity. People who go around sowing this kind of disunity do not understand that this is the example you are bestowing to all who know. This is the testimony of Christ you are
