American Home Education blog post

Dear Ones- as a blogger I  love to write of course but I also love to share some of my own passions with you. One of my passions, and convictions is homeschooling. People wonder why I homeschool? I have many reasons but one is to give my Someday to be Warrior for Christ the correct foundation so that HE can fight the good fight of faith. Do you wonder about homeschooling? Then the mention of a conference comes up... do you wonder if going to a conference is worth it? I say YES resoundingly but dont just take my word for it... read what Cindy Nicolai has to say about her first homeschooling experience http://americanhomeeducation.org/blog/post.cfm/homeschool-convention-is-it-worth-the-cost It is worth you time  Your Servant Angie

Daily scripture and thoughts

Dear ones it has been a while.. life has been on a crazy whirlwind. Trying to balance family, ministries and schooling has been truly a balancing act... though I have not posted praise The Lord He keeps me in His Word- my desire to hear from Him, be like Him and be guided by Him never ceases. We had started Galatians-- and so that is where we will continue Galatians 1:11-24 Paul Called by God  For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man 's gospel. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers. But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order

How important is it to memorize the Word of God?

We often forget with the busyness of life how important it is to memorize the Word of God. We take for granted the access we have to The Word, and we honestly have this mindset that it will always be accessible to us. In our land that may not always be so- so tell me how much energy and time do you put into memorizing the Word of God? In our home- we TRY- to make it very important for our younger children to memorize a verse a week. Duck has started again. I am so grateful for this little man's heart. He truly is so tender and so loving and attribute that to the Word that is hidden in his heart. Solo para la gloria de Dios Angie

Daily Scripture and thoughts

Dear Saints and faithful readers I have decided to do something different with my daily scripture and readings- I decided to start going through a whole book of the bible.  We will starting in Galatians Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ . But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we ha

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

Genesis 12:1-5 Chapter 12 The Call of Abram  Now the Lord said to Abram, “ Go from your country and your kindred and your father 's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”  So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy- five years old when he departed from Haran. And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother' s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan.  Dear Ones- Have you wondered what does obedience look like?  Have you wondered if The Lord called what exactly would you do? Abram- was a man like other men except that when God told him to do something he immediately obeyed. Imagine li

daily scripture and thoughts

For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:20 HCSB) Dear Ones-  Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Scribes and Pharisees you will never enter the kingdom of heaven- What does that mean?  Well at the time of Christ the most righteous people where the ones who read the scrolls and interpretted the scrolls which were the Scribes and Pharisees- and in that time they were the "righteous" ones  because of their wisdom, though they did not manifest the Words of The Lord in their lives or even interpretted the Word correctly. In their culture they were righteous. Though Christ called them hyprocrites because of the lack of the Word manifesting in their lives- these Words were to give us a comparison how righteousness.  Many of us do not know what righteous is, what it looks like or how to manifest in our lives. We seek for our leaders within the church to guide us and manif

How do you sum up ones life in 10 minutes:

This past weekend I went to a funeral of a family member to a brother in Christ who goes to our church. This man was one who lived a long life. He was 80 something when he passed away. His family who was left behind- had lots of words of how wonderful he was as a father, husband, grandfather and man who contributed to those around him. He supported local sports, and volunteered, was a man who was prompt if not early. ALL these wonderful blessings, he left a mark on the hearts of His family and those who knew him well. One statement a familly member made has rung in my ears since he has said it- how do you sum up ones life in 10 minutes?  If someone had to sum up my life in 10 minutes- the first words I would want them say- not how wonderful I was as a mother because not all my children would say that, or how wonderful I was as a wife, because I sure my beloved could testify on the moments I was not wonderful, or how wonderful I was as a sister, because my sisters or brother will tell yo
