fun times...

These moments are so few when it comes to daddy, seeing him have fun and let loose. It seems like he works endlessly. He just never seems to have a moment in time to just have fun and enjoy life, his children, his home or even me. Do you wonder if  the mandate the Lord placed on man that," He will work by the sweat of his brow", if that is what He meant? Did he mean that you will never have fun, you will always be tired, and there be little to no enjoyment in life?! I know and believe that Believers in Christ will suffer, if we are to take up our cross and follow after Christ. Christ suffered in this world. I just wonder if there are not to be any moments of joy? Peace is a gift given by God, so we will experience peace inspite of the world chaos around us, and Joy is also the Lord's so we will experience His joy. But the Joy in life, do you wonder if we are suppose to have it? I wonder because if we enjoy this life too much, or love this world to much then our hearts wil

Obama care- really??

Today I got my first experience of  the "NOT an option" health care.. see Obama has tried to make it out like we have options in health care. Making it out like healthcare is available for everyone. Giving hope that this was to make sure that everyone is covered, but truly it is a way to control your options. To take away rights as an employee on what type of coverage you have, and who you can or can not cover.  Are we really getting to a place in America that we do not have an option as American people? What did our soldiers fight for? My brother who served in three tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq war, sacrificed his health, hearing and memory, so that our options could be taken away? Any military member would not be fighting for our freedoms to be removed as they are. I also know He did not fight so that the judicial system who places court orders out there, for them to not be honored by someone without consequence. Where is justice? Where is options? What did these men

Craziness

There is no better way to describe my Saturday but as Craziness... My brother, his girl, children and two dogs came into town. My brother came for a purpose, my car needed some serious maintenance done, and no better person than him to help me out, with his knowledge he has on cars.Since my beloved has not time, and has been working NONstop all year, and most Saturdays as well. Little did we know the endeavor he was taking on. Just for the record, Chryslers are very hard to work on. But no challenge is truly to great if you face it head on, it also does help when you have many hands and heads. The day began at 6am for me, I got up and got ready, woke the children and headed to Walmart for some quick grocery shopping without having my cup of coffee. Needless to say my brain functions on minimal capacity at that hour in the morning and no coffee.Example: I was chatting with my  mom via text so when my daughter text I thought I was still talking to my mom... never once did it register that

Fleeting moments....

Moments in life are so fleeting. They happen in a flash and most of the time we just do not take the time to cherish it or we do not even recognize it's significance. Yesterday I was on a country music kick. I listen to all kinds of music, not one genre do I like over another. Anyway- I was listening to country and came a cross a song I had never heard before. He didn't have to be by Brad Paisley ( https://youtu.be/BjO1F6oCab8 ) At that moment the pain that I had not been feeling from an email received a few days ago came rushing into my heart. (but that is for another blog post- not this one) If you have never heard this song, you have got to take the time. It's amazing. The song is about a boy whose father was not in his life, raised by a single momma, who dated. In watching men walk away from "them" because she had a child.(let's remember in these scenarios this affects the children as well) He waited patiently till that right man walked into his mother'

Zoo trip

Well there are some things that amaze me about having new people in our lives. The uniqueness of their lives, and the things they have not done in their lives. This Zoo trip was very special because the newest member of our family, Mitch, had never been to a zoo. Of course we had to remedy that situation- so a trip to the Washington Zoo was planned...
