Daily Scripture and Thoughts

Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 5:20, 21 ESV) Dear Ones The law came in to just increase the knowledge of man that he was incapable of maintaining or keeping it in his own understanding or power. Through Christ- through His grace he gives us and bestows on us in our lives He cleanses us from all unrighteousness. It is not something we have done or can do without relying on our Lord and Savior without dying to us and living for Him. Lord thank you for your grace you have cleansed us from the bondage of sin. You have bestowed on us the power of your Grace. A Grace so freely given - Lord help us all to lie in that Grace and not take advantage of the sacrifice you have made for each of us. In Jesus Name Amen Solo para La Gloria de Dios Angie

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (John 3:20, 21 ESV) Dear Ones The Light- what is it and how do we remain in it? So many of us just live day by day- never considering anything, never thinking that we are in darkness or in light just thinking we are good person, because we do not steal major things, or we do not kill people but we hate our neighbor, our brother, our coworker. we do not treat people poorly, but we are short with our loved ones, or impatient and unkind to your parents. How is this not wickedness? Actually according to the Word all these "normal" behaviors are sin. They are darkness but we get so use to behaving this way excusing our behavior away with our physical condition or justifying it  with the sin or the other person. We are never justified in sin

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5, 6 ESV) Dear Ones We often forget the power we have. Ask and we shall receive, not like some magical thing but one that will give us strength and glorify Our Father in heaven. Often I pray for His Wisdom, not mine, His. I want to speak into others lives but not with my own words or understanding. I desire His Words, His understanding! Truly our opinions and words are so feeble compared to what He is able to say and do in our lives. So I beseech you to seek Him, His Words, His Wisdom because it is only through Him we are able to battle our flesh, ourselves and the sin in our lives. Solo para la Gloria De Dios, Angie

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. (Galatians 5:16, 17 ESV)

Daily Scripture and thoughts

But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. (Ephesians 5:3, 4 ESV) Dear Ones Sexual immorality, impurity, covetousness, filthiness, foolish talk, crude jokes are things that would describe our society. So clear in scripture it tells us that we are to stay away from it. That these things are not to be NAMED among God's people. Yet these very things are exactly what you see within the body as well as on the streets. In most of these things, there is not difference between a heathen and one who states they live for Christ. It should not be! There should be distinct differences but there isn't. Why?? Why do we cling to sin? People know it is wrong who are believers to have sex out of marriage. They know that the Word of God is clear on that, but the Church pretends this is not happening.

Daily scripture and thoughts

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. (1 John 4:13-15 ESV) Dear Ones What a wonderful promise we have been given. Not only did our Savior receive the wrath for our sin but then He in turn sent His Spirit to abide with us for guidance, reassurance and strength in for all time . He guides use to His Truth as we seek and find the truth and confess our sins to Him and ask Him to dwell with us and in us then we find that we have something to rejoice over because we have found the most precious and joyous gift- Christ.  Dear ones do not take advantage of this gift by lying to yourself and others about who you are and what you love for. Examine your heart- does the Spirit of the living God dwell there? Do you hear his voice? If not be warned dear ones that there is one w

Daily scripture and thoughts

And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. (1 John 4:21 ESV) Dear Ones- Commandment- what is it? A commandment is not an option for a believer. It is    A command; a mandate; an order or injunction given by authority; charge; precept. There is no option in that scripture. We must love our Brothers- this word brother  not only means your relation brother but also your brothers and sisters in Christ.   Loving your family is hard sometimes but loving others, who are not related by blood but related through the blood of Christ sometimes seems impossible.  We must use Christ as our model and love as He loves us. He loves us past so many things, past our deserving his love, and past our foul sin.  Love one other.. be kind and most of all show that we live and walk with Christ.  Solo para la Gloria De Dios Angie

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. (Isaiah 26:9 ESV) Dear Ones Yearning, longing, desiring after, hungrying- all a heart we should have for our Lord.  Have you ever had a yearning for something or someone?  They are on your mind always, you can't focus on anything else. It is forever before you that is how we should be and feel for our Heavenly Father.   His Word is to be forever before us, guiding and binding our heart to His. Do you wonder why you wonder around aimlessly in your faith? Do you struggle to keep faith? It is because you lack this yearning love for Our Lord.  Steps for you to take to yearn for Him 1. Understand who you are without Him      See your wretchness, understand how your sins look in His eyes 2. Truly repent - repentance is turning Doing things differently and removing yourself from sins 3. Read the Word, Study it. It is God&

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. (1 John 4:20 ESV) Dear Ones- This truth is one we do not pay much attention too. We focus so much on things that do not matter and never take the time to check our hearts on the deep things that do matter. Do you hold resentment or bitterness toward a brother or sister? Each one of us are created differently, we act, talk and do things different. Different is NOT bad. It is a blessing, different brings challenges and balance to our hearts. My Sister- is so different than I am. She has to stay crazy busy. She is so crafty that it oozes from her pores. Her creativity has been such a blessing in my life. I love how different we are and I cherish her because of her differences. Is that how you feel about your brother or sister? Though I do not understand her differences  I made a choice to embrace her differences because honestly I h

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. (Mark 8:34, 35 ESV) Dear Ones This scripture is not uncommon to anyone of us. But truly how do we apply this to our lives. How do we deny ourselves? To many times in our lives we strive for happiness not by doing God's will in our lives but by satisfying ourselves and our flesh. Truly to call yourself a Christian- that Word as I said in the past  means Christ like. How are we being Christ like if we continue to be our self like- if our self is more important. Have you thought about how much you truly love the Lord? Do you love him enough to die to yourself? Do you love him enough to lose your life for His Gospel? To all these you can say yes- but when you are standing before others who are drinking or when you are

Daily scripture and thoughts

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13 ESV) Dear Ones The answer to knowing the presence of The Lord is to seek Him with your whole heart. Many times we seek our Lord only partially. We expect Him to answer our prayers, to hear us when we call but we do not seek Him with all we are or we do. I wonder, would you answer or help someone that called you only when they wanted something or needed something? I praise our Lord Jesus that HE is not like that with us. NO matter when we call His arms and heart are always waiting to bond with us. He loves us so very dearly. Have you been desperate for an answer? Are you wanting to know what to do? Or where to go with a matter? Well I suggest that you seek the Lord with your WHOLE heart- and that means surrendering your WILL, your Live, Your agenda to HIM. Then will you find what you are seeking. Lord Heavenly Father I ask that you forgive us for not seeking you, your heart, Your face in all things so th

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14 ESV) Dear ones We are to be a light in all situations and in all things. Too many times self gets in the way and we struggle against our own flesh to be that light and to do exactly what God has called us to do and be and that is the light. This is the second day that The Lord has spoken in this sense- maybe just maybe He is trying to remind us of who we are suppose to be. Light, hope and vessels open to whatever He would have us do. Be the Light! Be different, stand out for His Glory because He was so willing to stand and die for you! Solo para la Gloria De Dios Angie

Daily scripture and Thoughts

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 ESV) Dear Ones- So many of us spend so much time feeling sorry for ourselves. Allowing life, pressures, vain things and this world to effect us to the point where we are not a light. We walk around with down cast faces, and NO JOY at all. WHY? Are you not daughters and sons of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Does HE not love you? If you find your happiness and self worth in things, instead of things above then yes- life will affect you! There is so much JOY we should have- We should shy brighter than the STARS or the Sun, but yet we don't. WHY??? Dear Ones- life is so short- it is to be celebrated. We are to shine to bring  Glory to Our Lord Jesus. Life is Life- and we all carry burdens, struggles and if we allow the enemy to- he will steal every joyful moment.  Shine so the Light of Christ will be seen. Solo para la Gloria de

Daily Scripture and thoughts

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21 ESV) Dear Ones We so seldom look at death as a gain. We see losing loved ones as a loss to ourselves instead of seeing that they have no more worries, tears or pain, if they were believers in Christ.  Their lives are a joyous one, they get to stand before the King of Kings and sing with the angels.  We mourn for ourselves because truly they are not sorry.  As you live for Christ today- remember that all you do and say will be one of two things in heaven, judgement or a reward.  Your choice! Daily Scripture and thoughts

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7 ESV) Dear Ones What does it mean to walk in the light? How do we walk and fellowship with one another? Walking in the light- well- let's first seek and know who is the light? Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour is our light. How do we know or what can guide us to walk in the light?   The Word is our beacon. The Word can guide us into the Light. It can only be through faithful reading and seeking that we can know we are in the Light. Without the light in our lives we can not be cleansed from our sins. Have you thought about who you are in sin? How wretched you are and how The Lord  can not put His eyes upon you in that state of sin. Jesus is the way the truth and the Life NO ONE comes to the Father except through HIM.  There are some who state they have surrendered their lives to Christ but when examined they have no change. They

Daily Scripture and Thoughts

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:3, 4 ESV) Dear Ones Giving to others is not suppose to be an opportunity  for us to boast but to give with a heart of expecting nothing. If you give expecting even a "thank you" is that the right heart?  To give is to give with no expectations. Of course the polite thing for someone to do when given something is to say thank you- but if a thank you is not given how do we have a right to get upset?  Giving is not boastful and is to have no expectations.  Be blessed and seek to give with no expectations and without reward. Daily Scripture and Thoughts

Matthew 4 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. This verse is not uncommon to most believers, but truth be told not lived out in their lives. Repentance what is it? What does it mean to be truly repenttive? Do believers live understanding that the Kingdom of heaven is at hand? Do we realize that we know NOT the hour that a Savior will return? Do we live our lives with that  belief and understanding in our fore front? Or do live in sin today not thinking about when or if we will see tomorrow? re·pent·ance     [ ri- pen -tns, - pen -t uh ns ]   noun 1. deep   sorrow,   compunction,   or   contrition   for   a   past   sin,   wrongdoing,   or   the   like. 2. regret   for   any   past   action. True repentance brings someone to a point where they do not want to do whatever they were doing again. They turn from it without ever looking back. Is that how you live? Or do you continually live in a state of sin? Does that sin control

Happy New Year-2014

2014-is here. Wow! It will bring so many changes. Some joyous yet sad ones and some uncertainties, but changes none the less. Change is an uncontrollable part of life. It always amazes me when people say, " I hate change" truly that is not possible. Change is truly a wonderful part of life. It happens every day- and never stops. Each day being different from the one before. So to say I hate change is an oxymoron. 2014 will bring many changes for this family. It will bring additions and I pray a lot of love,. I am fearful of some of the changes, wondering if wisdom, discernment and  Christ are being included in those changes. Lord Please have mercy on me, and my family. Help us to use the Word to guide us through life. DONT allow us to do things in our own understanding. LORD- we need you! Thank you Father for the changes, and the new things to come. I ask that you give me strength and wisdom to continue to do as you have asked of me! Solo para la gloria de Dios Angie
