Blogger Friend School #128- Does She or Doesn’t She (Clairol Shampoo)

Assignment: Tell the world about your favorite woman in the Bible. Who is she? How did the world judge her? How does God see her? How did God use her? How has this woman affected your life? How does she inspire you to walk out your relationship with God? Esther is my favorite Bible woman. How did the world judge her? She obtained favour in their sight of all who looked upon her. How does God see her? He blessed her with favour among men and knew he would use her to protect his people. How did God use her? He used her to be brave, and bold in a time when bravery would bring death. He used her to fight for the life of  his people even with the fear of death. How has this woman affected your life? Esther- showed in adversity strength. She feared for the lives of her people, and with humility, prayer and fasting she approached the king with gentleness and love. She did not speak harshly or aggressively, instead she prepared her heart, prayed for his ...

[BloggerFriendSchool] #125 Let Your Fingers Do the Walking (Yellow Pages)

Assignment: I'd like you to choose a word, find the Hebrew or Greek original word, and then dig into it's full meaning. My Word is Forgiveness. Forgiveness- in Hebrew is cÄ•liychah- means to pardon. The first time this word forgiveness is used is in Psalm 130:3-4 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But [there is] forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. A reminder that the Lord forgives our iniquities if not who can stand before Him? Forgiveness comes from the root word forgive. Forgive-in Hebrew is nasa' – means to lift, carry or bear up. It shows up in scripture for the first time in Genesis 50:17 Joseph’s brothers are asking him for forgiveness of the trespasses they caused against him. 0r Forgive in Hebrew is aphiÄ“mi- means to disregard, to let go, give up debt. Which this meaning does not show up in scripture until the Lord prayer, Math 6:12.   Forgiving or Forgiveness seems to be a trait that we...

BFS #124 - The Easy Button

Assignment - This week I would like you to post any prayer requests you have. What is going on in your life that you need prayer warriors for? When this assignment came through I was going to share  prayer request for a much needed rental home, and new job for my beloved, but in a blink of an eye those things were no longer a concern. A truly serious, and sobering matter occurred. I was not sure how to share with all of you this matter- and how desperate I was. I was not sure how to even lift my eyes towards heaven for fear that he would not hear me, or not even want what I was wanting.  I was not sure I could handle a loss of my child. My baby- my eldest- He is 18 years old, 6 days ago he started to develop these sharp pains that would shoot to the back of his eyes. At first he described them as a headache, but he realized it was not headache, and started to complain more of the pain, and stated that pain relievers were not working. I made a doctors appointment. When the do...

BFS #122 - Say It With Flowers (FTD)

Memory Verse - II Corinthians 4:18 - While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Introduction - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; isn't that what we've always been told.  I find beauty in many things and in most people.  There's beauty in a flower, according to FTD as well, there's beauty in trees,  animals, people, and I'd have to say, as I'm sure that most people agree that there's beauty in watching a child grow. Assignment - Look around your space, look into your heart and share the beauty you see or feel with the rest of us.   Sunset in Springfield,Missouri- reminder of how Glorious and wonderful our Creator is. Blogger Friend School Assignment #119

Assignment:  This week I thought we could share what great ways we have found to help with all we have to do. Through the years when my little ones were young. I spent alot of time training them to be helpful, thoughtful and know that a family functions as a unit. Though in those days I did everything on my own as time past and each one of them grew, they grew to be help, caring, considerate blessings in my life. Besides the obvious getting face down in front of God, what have you found that works? Consistency and prayer of course! I developed a routine of things that needed to be done daily, and weekly. Have you done a great bible study that deals with this area?  No Do you have a certain “thing” that  really helps you like a planner or gadget?  Everything that needs to be remembered gets put on my calendar that is part of my email program. I have it set with alarms for reminders Do you have a certain bible verse that just speaks to you and you hav...
