Daily Scripture and thoughts

Dear Saints and faithful readers
I have decided to do something different with my daily scripture and readings- I decided to start going through a whole book of the bible.

We will starting in Galatians

Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:1-10 ESV)

The beginning starts with Paul greeting His brothers and sisters in Christ of the church of Galatia. Sending a blessing of peace. I love the way Paul starts His letters- reminding them from whom they are called and whom sacrificed Himself for them. Jesus the Christ-

He moves on quickly without hesitation to a serious matter. One that if not addressed  first would leave all matters null and void. The matter of the Gospel and the things at which they were allowing their ears to hear and their hearts to absorb.

Dear Ones- do you realize we do this every day?? We allow ourselves to hear and even absorb another Gospel. Most of the time it is antiChrist doctrine this world is preaching and teaching through social media and the media. We entertain ourselves with it. We listen and absorb it and in a way it plants a seed in our hearts that in turn twists the pure true Gospel of Christ.

We do not exam what our Pastors or elders say because we think " they stand in that pulpit preaching that what they are saying is true",
 " IS IT??"
have you studied the scripture for yourself... do you know that everything that proceeds out of HIS mouth is the true and unadulterated Gospel?? if not then you have some work to do.

In this section Paul is telling them, warning them of the false gospel that had begun to be preached and that they began to listen to.

Dear Ones
As you read this examine yourself- what have you began to believe in your own heart and live in your lives that you KNOW is contrary to the Gospel?

Are you accepting your own sin? making excuses that the World does it so I am not different?
If You have been called by His Name then you are expected and even demanded by His Word to not think or act like the World.

Praying that you will renew your mind each day with the truth of the Gospel.

Whisperings

Some of you know I have lots of children. Seven to be exact, and most of them are older and Most of them are young men except for one boy.   Lately one of my youngmen have been struggling. He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "
