Change in the air

Well it is a season for change. We are finally on break from soccer- for a few days anyway- we will be doing some indoor- but it is not as consuming as outdoor- In the meantime- we are trying to make some serious changes- spiritual ones.
Sam did a talk last night that was so convicting. It was a basic talk- one that was not uncommon to me, but it was nice to refresh the thoughts in my mind and heart. It was about being a Christian and whether we "know" Christ. What is first in our hearts, and lives? Boy it made you think. I know it made some of the children think.
Lord grow us closer to you so that we may do your will in our lives!~

Hello all...

Hello my Siesta(Beth Moore's word for Sisters-Love it)  I have decided to start this online bible Blog Study that Preacher's Wife  wrote. It has already started my wheels turning in my mind and heart. The very first question:  Are there any circumstances or relationships in your life where you can see God has intentionally placed you? Yes- many! A few grow heavy in my heart! What do you perceive may be at stake if you do or do not speak out for Him? The person's soul will be lost for eternity. What is the meaning of family or extended family to you?

One of the things about moving to Texas that we were "excited" about was the thought of having "all the family" here.(actually extended family) Grandma,grandpa,  Sam's brothers, and sister are all here.  Well we have been here almost 6 months now. I guess the newness of us being here has worn off, because we do not receive  phone calls, text messages, or emails of;" what are you all doing this weekend?"  " Do you want to get together?"  It has turned out to be just like any other time we lived in close vicinity of each other. We have become special occasion, holiday only relations.  Why is that?  How does that happen?  Is it because we live such separate lives?   Our lives are very uneventful.
