Pray without Ceasing

Again- my devotional brought me to a place of pondering and considering a verse…

1Th 5:17
Pray without ceasing.

What does that mean to you?

Does it mean that we are to NEVER stop uttering, requests, and situations up to the L-rd?

Beth Moore in my devotionals  states that pray without ceasing means to practice a pray without ceasing relationship seeing everything against the backdrop of His presence.

Everything and anything makes us think of our L-rd Jesus. Having a constant communication with our L-rd, sometimes saying a lot or sometimes saying a little, but living every moment of life as if he is right there… (excerpt from When Godly people do Ungodly things)

He is there always watching, guiding, asking us to just talk to Him, and confide in Him.

Father-

You are worthy to be praised!

help us as we continue to seek your word and learn what it is you want for our lives. Help us to understand how to have a pray without ceasing relationship with you. I thank you for your grace, I thank you for your son, I thank you for your mercy.

Be with me this day- may I feel your presence!

For thine is the Kingdom, the power and glory forever ever-Amen

Angie

He works at an amusement park, and is around people all day long who standards, or morals do not quite match what we(through God's grace) have tried to instill in him. All day long he is whispered at about what he should have, and what he should be doing at "his age".  Today while reading the Word these verses stood out.... Proverbs 23 15  My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16  Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. 17  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the  Lord  all the day long His heart started to "envy" what these whisperers were saying to him and started to feel like he has been missing out on something in life.  Really?  How do we envy sinners?  How do we as professing believers say "
