Daily scripture and thoughts

And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. (James 3:6-10 ESV)

Dear Ones

Our tongue is such a powerful member of our body. It can be used to build or tear down, it can be used to bring happiness to a heart or pain. As people of Christ we must remember that we will give an account for every word spoken ( I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36, 37 ESV)  That is so scary to me-- I will give an account for every careless thing I say.

Be careful with what you say in anger, be careful with what you say when you are offended, be careful with what you say about brothers and sisters in Christ, be careful!!!

Tame that tongue!!! I know that I do not want to stand before my Lord some day in judgement over my uncontrolled tongue!!! This Word has been given to us so we might heed it, because the day is now... Now we are to change. We are also accountable for the truth hear and not live within our lives.

Dear Ones we never have a good reason to degrate or defile someone with our words. We are truly able to be kind and loving. We are truly able to submit ourselves to be glorifying to our Lord because that is the power we hold within us through the presence of the Holy Spirit. If you have not been able to tame your tongue if you spend time speaking ill of people, and the church. If it is always wagging about someone in gossip then you have to wonder how much of the Holy Spirit lives within you.

Let me challenge you- for every moment that you have to destroy someone with your Words use that moment to lift them in prayer. Jesus loved the sinner... To the point where he would pray for them -- do you remember what He said on the cross?

" Lord forgive them for they know not what they do."

Are we not to love them the same? Should we not take that time that we are speaking ill or desiring to speak ill to pray for their souls if they are nonbelievers?? If they are believers I warn you even more greatly because as an earthly father who loves his child and would do anything for him, so does our Heavenly Father love His children, so be careful what you say about His children for you will stand before Him some day.

Lord forgive us for where we fail you!

Take Heed.....

Assignment - This week I would like you to post any prayer requests you have. What is going on in your life that you need prayer warriors for? When this assignment came through I was going to share  prayer request for a much needed rental home, and new job for my beloved, but in a blink of an eye those things were no longer a concern. A truly serious, and sobering matter occurred. I was not sure how to share with all of you this matter- and how desperate I was. I was not sure how to even lift my eyes towards heaven for fear that he would not hear me, or not even want what I was wanting.  I was not sure I could handle a loss of my child. My baby- my eldest- He is 18 years old, 6 days ago he started to develop these sharp pains that would shoot to the back of his eyes. At first he described them as a headache, but he realized it was not headache, and started to complain more of the pain, and stated that pain relievers were not working. I made a doctors appointment. When the do...

Traditions…

At this time of the year everyone is filled with traditions. Things they do every year  to prepare their hearts to celebrate the greatest, and truest meaning of this season- celebrating the Birth of our Savior. We are no exception.. we started this tradition last year. Our hearts were to focus ourselves completely on what we are celebrating and why we are celebrating it so every evening, we light these candles…   gather around the table to read the scripture for the night, we sing the corresponding carol/hymn, then daddy reads a story. The story normally goes with which every figure we must pull and set up for our nativity scene. So far this is what we have out: The Donkey was first- because he carried Mary to Bethlehem, then the cow- was probably in the stable, the sheep were probably brought by the Shepherds who came to see the Savior, and then the Shepherd. This scene is such a humbling scene, one that reminds us that our Lord did not arrive in a mansion, or place b...
