But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:3, 4 ESV)
Dear Ones
Giving to others is not suppose to be an opportunity for us to boast but to give with a heart of expecting nothing. If you give expecting even a "thank you" is that the right heart?
To give is to give with no expectations. Of course the polite thing for someone to do when given something is to say thank you- but if a thank you is not given how do we have a right to get upset?
Giving is not boastful and is to have no expectations.
Be blessed and seek to give with no expectations and without reward.
