Daily Scripture and Thoughts

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5, 6 ESV)

Dear Ones

We often forget the power we have. Ask and we shall receive, not like some magical thing but one that will give us strength and glorify Our Father in heaven. Often I pray for His Wisdom, not mine, His. I want to speak into others lives but not with my own words or understanding. I desire His Words, His understanding! Truly our opinions and words are so feeble compared to what He is able to say and do in our lives.

So I beseech you to seek Him, His Words, His Wisdom because it is only through Him we are able to battle our flesh, ourselves and the sin in our lives.

Solo para la Gloria De Dios,

Angie

with a heavy heart

It is with a heavy heart that I am posting this blog. I will not be able to go to San Antonio. I wanted this so bad, that I guess I was forcing the issue. I can not go, knowing it would put a financial strain on my family. Schooling has to be a priority. The children books needed to be purchased, which had to take precedent over my desire to be part of the Fiesta in San Antonio. It grieves me deeply because I was praying, hoping to find a sister in Christ there. One that lived here in Houston, so we could develope a much needed friendship. I guess it was just not my time. Have fun Siestas! I hope we get another chance to meet!! May the Lord be with you!

Saying "I love you"...

Thinking about these words. These words that are to express our deepest emotions. These words that are to leave us vunerable and open, just do not seem to have the impact they use to. Many people use these words so fleeting. They use them as if to say "thank you", or "I thought about you today". For me "I love you" is not an easy thing to say. If I say I love you- I mean it from way down deep in my heart. They are not just words to be said but also words, that are to be put into action. Have you ever thought about that? When someone says "I love you", do they show through their actions that they love you?  or do they leave you going Huh, really? I have had those thoughts, wondering if the person who has declared their love really does love me because actions speak louder than words to me. I hear their words but then on the other hand see their actions and  they do not act like a person who even cares about my well being. Jesus never states in the
